Grow Mediums 4x4 ebb an flow with coco

I have no idea what you are sayin swampman. Lol sorry dude.

I only let my plants dry cycle in coco until the third node, then I water daily till runoff. Full nutes at budset...then it gets fun!

You may have to explain that in more detail please. Well, just the last part.

Hi. This is what I am going to do on next round. Coco in smart pots. When you do this is it better to use hydro nutrients or soil nutrients?

I sow seeds directly into my medium, basically "poke and pray", but I do it in well moistened coco. So far I'm at 99% germination, only 1 dud since I first used coco. I let that seed germ/pop up without any added water, then I just water once the medium looks like it's barely damp...not dry, but damp. That goes on for about 2 weeks, really until the thing has leaves that look like they're adding energy instead of that "newborn baby still might die" leaf look they have for the first days. Once the thing looks like it's going to make it out of infancy, I start in with 1/4 strength nutes until I see a tiny bit of runoff. I do that daily, with absolutely no regard for whether or not my medium has dried out at all...in coco I view a dry pot as lost yield/potency, so I endeavor to always water no matter how heavy/light it feels...the catch is, I've waited a few weeks so the plant has roots to use the nutrition. Once I get the sense that things are moving along nicely, maybe a week or two of waterings depending on strain, then I'll go up to 1/2 strength for maybe 3-5 days, just test the waters. If after a week I feel like 1/2 strength hasn't shown me any signs of nute burn/sensitivity/deficiency/etc. then I just go to full strength. This usually coincides with what I refer to as budset, i.e. the plant starts growing calyxes...the flowering parts vice vegetative leaf/stem growth. Once I see signs of those little buggers, I'm watering daily when the lights come on at full strength.

Thank you low an slow. I appreciate the details.
