Seed Stockers 4d's Solo Go Go Gelato

Bah, kinda slipped on this thread again. Life is just too crazy.

Well following my last update I continued to give each Gelato 400-500ml per day to ensure that they are getting adequate runoff and hopefully balancing the pH to the point where the nutrients are usable. I continued with the 3g/gal MC at around 6.3-6.4 pH but am still seeing some pretty low runoff numbers at ~5.1-5.4 pH, but the ppms seem to be in range.

Day 20 and we're getting some stretch start to happen. Colouring is still looking better than it did in the beginning. A bit of yellowing and spotting on the lower leaves, probably has to do with the pH being off. Hopefully that settles as I continue with daily waterings with adequate runoff.

Full tent shot...Super Sativa Seed Club Elephant Auto coming along very nicely on the left. The Candy Dawg on the right had a slow start and seemed to have some genetic abnormalities as you can sometimes see. Weird leaves, etc. But I just left it and it is actually coming along pretty decently.

Holy, what a week can do for these little battlers! The stretch is real!

I've moved up to 3.5g/gal Megacrop with 0.5g/gal Epsom salt after some discussions over at the Greenleaf forums. It seems that the added Mg and S may provide more of a balanced nutrient profile so we'll see how they like it.

Here's the tent at day 27. Kinda hard to see the solo's in there, getting to be a bit of a jungle. Both the Elephant Auto and the Candy Dawg are doing A-OK.

Here's a side profile pic to show how tall these two have gotten. It's getting close to the time where I need to make a decision on which is going to be the plant I run with in the competition. I'm leaning toward the shorter one on the right, I like the side branching and overall the leaves look a bit more healthy. The left one is quite the tower! It's definitely going to be one of those Cola's on a stick.

Time to make the selection ( well a few days ago but let’s make it official!).
I am going to move forward with the slightly shorter one. It has an overall healthier look to the leaves and better side branching.
Here they are side by side on Day 29

And a couple solo pics of the chosen lady

So far these have been consistently getting feeds of 300-500ml per day at 0.5g/gal Epsom Salt and 3.5g/gal Megacrop (total of ~600ppm with base water). Will probably keep it at that until something suggests otherwise.

Bringing us to Day 32
Man are they tall and lanky, but I’m sure will soon start to fill out. Kinda getting a bit smothered in there with the other big ones. I’m just about to clean out my big tent so they’ll get to stretch their legs soon enough.

What did you feed those! That height is seriously impressive. Please, you have to get out a tape measure and tell us how tall they really are.

I know right @DCLXVI , I’m pretty surprised at how crazy tall they turned out. Both of them too!
Actually, they have kept stretching and the one I chose has overtaken the other and is taller.
Here’s the chosen one at Day 37 and I did take out the tape measure. A whopping 80cm tall!

Day 38 and I finally got them all moved into the bigger tent. Maybe a bit late as the stretch may be done. But there’s room in there in case they have a little left in them.

My Solo battler wedged in between these two.

currently have a 135W HLG QB288 and a modified 100W COB light turned on. Once they get used to the change and maybe further into flowering I’ll turn on the additional 55w solo COB.

Hmm seemed to have missed an update that I did on the main thread.

Well I kept going with my feedings and the flowers are getting hairy and filling out. But started having some possible lockout or deficiency problems with all the plants in the tent. So it’s definitely the way or how much I’m feeding. I haven’t been doing many regular waterings so it could be salt buildup up that also caused a pH swing. So the last feed I gave each a full litre at a lowered strength of 300ppm and 6pH. Hopefully that gets them all back on track for the rest of flowering.
