Search Warrants Executed at Business Known as 420 Kingston
A 34-year-old man and 32-year-old woman both from Kingston have been arrested as a result of search warrants being executed on the business “420 Kingston” and their residence.
On April 4, 2017, the Canada Border Services Agency obtained search warrants as a result of an investigation under the Customs Act and Plant Protection Act. The warrants were authorized for the business “420 Kingston” located at 736 Princess Street and the residence of the two accused persons.
On April 7, 2017 at approximately 11:00 a.m. the two accused were observed entering the business. Members of the Canada Border Services Agency officers executed the search warrants at the business and the residence with the assistance of Kingston Police.
While in the business and residence, large quantities of marijuana were observed in plain view. Kingston Police seized approximately 4 pounds of marijuana in various forms of packaging found between the residence and business with an estimated street value of over $20,000.
Kingston Police arrested both accused and transported them to police headquarters. Both have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The investigation is on-going and additional charges may follow.
