Tent - 2 x 4 x 7

Lighting - 400w MH until vegetative growth slows significantly. Swapping to an SHPS for the remainder.

Containers - 3 gallon (5 gallon equiv) Air Pots

Medium - Pro Mix HP CC. This stuff is pretty expensive, but the ladies seem to love it!

Nutrients - AN Lineup - Using everything in Tang's Feeding Schedule

I start Cal/Mag around day 18-20 (1ml/L) with every other feeding, as I had some minor deficiency issues on my first run, but this seemed to help the 2nd time around (or it could have been strain dependant).

Germination - Beans were soaked in a glass of spring water (in complete darkness), for around 24 hours (or about 6-8 hours after they've taken on enough water to sink), and then planted directly into medium.

I've had a 100% success rate so far using this method (across 3 grows).

This time around I had sprouts within 24-48 hours of planting, that's less than 3 days total from start of germination to sprout.

These gals sprouted on 4/1 making today Day 22

Light is currently about 18" away (started around 26" dimmed to 250w for the first week or so)

Temps have been 78-81F (occasional spike to around 86 when ac is off, doesn't happen often)

They were tied down earlier today.

They'll likely see another 2+ weeks of veg.

It's a "60 day" strain *cough*, but I plan to run them a bit longer.

The Cotyledons on both girls have pretty much died off already (which has never happened this early for me before), but they look great otherwise. Perhaps I should have ramped up the nutes a little faster, this strain is supposed to be a heavy feeder.

0 complaints or issues with this first gal, all growth looks perfect and symmetrical, lush and green. With each new set of leaves displaying an extra set of digits.

DSCF5160.JPG The mutant.jpg

This gal on the other hand, seems to be quite the mutant (but looks healthy).

There seems to be a deformity on one side of each set of leaves.

In these pictures (above), one of the digits is curled at a weird angle, and half of it is missing entirely.

DSCF5165.JPG

In this case, the same leaf on the other side is normal looking (3 digits), and this one, yeah.

Yes, I am white as fuck.

Thanks, this is actually my first fast buds strain.

Day 26

Compared to my last two grows, they seem a bit behind for it being day 26. Also, the other strains that I grew has an estimated seed to harvest time of 70-80 days vs 60-70.

They look healthy (aside from some irregular/uneven growth on one of them), perhaps the LST slowed them a bit, and I still want to bend them once maybe twice more.

I'm also wondering if leaving the string on at this point is necessary? Can it have any negative effects on the growth/thickness of the main stem? Is it necessary to keep the string on to maintain the shape that I want?

Can't seem to find anything wrong with this gal, she's looking pristine.

This one on the other hand, has some irregular/uneven (dwarfed or malformed) growth. The newest set coming in is developing much faster on one side, and seems to be slightly twisted.

Day 32

Veg growth doesn't seem to be going all that well. The gals look healthy, but really small. Total height right now is about 10-11" (average height for this strain being about 2-3').

I don't have much experience with LST, and I'm not sure how much it should effect the overall height of the plants.

Looks like each gal is going to have 5-6 main colas.

Another 5 days or so of veg (about 2 feedings), and then it's time to swap to the SHPS and flowering nutes.

This gal is looking really healthy and symmetrical, her main stem is quite a bit thicker (as well as pretty much everything else).

DSCF5193.JPG DSCF5196.JPG DSCF5199.JPG

This gal seems to have some twisted/deformed growth, and is smaller, but otherwise looks healthy and is around the same height (just not as bushy, leaves not as well developed overall)

Day 37

Mid grow flush today, swapped the MH to SHPS, starting bloom nutes with next watering.

Each gal looks like she'll have about 5 main colas.

If anything I'd say vertical growth has increased these past few days, but they're already well into flowering and didn't want to wait any longer.

Canopy isn't completely level (about a 2" variation at most), looking really healthy, leaves on this gal seem rather large and much healthier when compared to the other.

I rotated and saved the 2nd photo, but it reverts to the original when I upload it here for some reason.

She's slightly smaller, and doesn't seem to have flourished as well. She looks healthy overall, but there's definitely some malformed leaves and other deformed growth, I'm guessing it's genetic.

Her canopy is even within about .5"

Thanks guys, I actually just started to notice that faint dank smell yesterday when I took them out to flush. It's odd because the smaller gal seemed to be putting off more odor than the larger one.

Might be a different phenotype from what I have read on other grows most of fast buds strains are wild

Day 58
DSCF5233.JPG

Haven't checked the trichs yet, but my guess is the gal on the left will be ready in another couple weeks. She's filling in pretty nicely with really dense buds.

The one on the right is taller by about 5", but doesn't seem to be filling in very well. Not sure if it's phenotype or just how she grew, but her stalk and branches don't seem as thick or sturdy. It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but her buds don't seem very well developed at all so far, they're really airy/elongated and spaced out.

Been keeping them on the same schedule in spite of that and will likely chop at the same time.

They've each been getting 2L every 45-50 hrs, another week or so of feeding before the 10 day cleanse.
