New Grower 4 Strains First Grow Journal

Ok I read through the whole thread and I think a couple of things, A how far away were your lights from your plants? They seem to have stretched quite a bit. Also if those ladies don't have another 2 and a half weeks left I will eat my hat(as Blue would say) someone else may have other ideas but I just don't see how. Those ladies are only 5 or 6 or so weeks into flowering based on the buds that I am seeing and they need at least a couple more to really fatten up. This is True's AutoUltimate(granted he is a monster tree beastmode grower) see how all of the leaves have almost died off on there own and the buds are just swollen. This is how an auto should look when it is ready for harvest in my opinion, the largest yeilds I have seen have all looked just like this
yeah, think they may have been far from light and got lanky and other plants behind it have tried to raise up as close as dare to the light as it gets past the 2nd week and also with new ones are starting to leave those under a 100w cfl 24x7 for the first week so think this will get better. Live and learn, lol

Take a look at Mr Ganjamoto's or Tangs or seymour buds, look at all of their plants when they harvest. They all look virtually the same, GIGANTIC and almost void of all the fan leaves. I wouldn't be surpirsed if yours could go another 20 or 25 days. Probably not the news that you wanted to hear but I promise as my name is Derek that if you wait another week of doing everything you are currently doing you will see a big difference in the size of your calyaxs and the overall size of the buds(this is where your buds start to swell and fill the internodal gaps forming the monster colas you see on here all the time), I would go all the way up to full strength nutes for 2 more feedings if you are at 75% strength now. Then flush and you will be looking at some monster fat buds!

when you say "I wouldn't be surpirsed if yours could go another 20 or 25 days" is that including a 14 day flush ? cause If not that would put the PE on day 102-107 at harvest and he critical jack would be 97-102. there must also be a point of keeping them to long as well I would think but fatter would be better for sure.

Here are 3 pics of each taken today. Dark Devil and Northern Lights are on day 63, Critical Jack day 65, Pineapple Express day 68. Starting the 2 oldest on straight water tomorrow. Pics are named with strain name.:coffee2:

your ladies are looking great, they do have a few more weeks of fattening up yet

Thanks for the help, we are holding back and have increased to 75% strength. Went to 75% once on the critical and stopped cause the leaves started turning yellow and than realized that was just because it was getting old. Will post more pics soon.

I think you might be looking at the wrong "Hairs" when people are talking about the color of the trichs or trichromes we are talking about the crystals of THC on the buds not the pistols that are shriviling up and dying. This is a very common mistake, as I stated in another thread I harvested my first two grows waaay to early because I didn't know what I was looking for.

The only way to see the color of the Trichromes are to get a jewlers loupe or a handheld microscope

Your plants look AMAZING and I would hate to see them not reach there full potential. You want to start your flush when you start to see the Amber trich heads. I know that the seedbank sites say 60 or 70 days from seed to harvest but from what I have seen those estimates are most of the times not enough for the plant to fully develop. Just my thoughts though, others may have different thoughts or ideas. Again great job the ladies look wonderful and happy
Spot on, this is just what was needed. So went out and picked up a Jewelers Loupe 60x with a light. Now can see the trich's and they are all cloudy. Didn't notice any amber ones but only looked at one for a minute, will look closer after dinner.

Looking forward to an update man.

Update Coming. Going to post 3 pics of each in a few minutes. For now here's a pic of one of my Friends in the garden.

Latest pics Day 71-76

Dark Devil and Northern Lights are on day 71, Critical Jack day 73, and Pineapple Express day 76.

Started the CJ and PE on water today as we are starting to see a few amber trichs now on them. The DD should start a 14 day flush soon too as all its leaves are dying and yellowing but haven't seen amber trichs yet so will give it few more days. but the NL must all leaves still quite green, this one is going to go up towards 100 days it seems.

May not get a whole lot from the PE and DD as they got pretty stretched out. The only thing can think of to prevent them from stretching like that is to try to keep the light close all the way without being too close, the other thing we are trying is keeping them under a CFL for the first 1-2 weeks 24x7 so we will see with the next round. Maybe a longer light cycle would help too like 20/4 or 24x7 as opposed to my 18/6 cycle.
Also in the next round have a NL BB WOS that I have done some LST on and that seems to be helping a lot, looking forward to comparing the yield from this one and another one of the same without LST.

Dark Devil Day 81

Here is the Dark Devil at day 81. Had to move it today so figured would snap a few while it was out from under the hps. She has darkened up a bit in her old age, hoping her little Sister is a dark one...
