How do you keep the roots from clogging up the return lines to the reservoir? Every grow I get the lines clogged with roots.

i just joined this forum today and found just what I was looking for. Dude your RDWC is assume. I am so glad I joined this forum. I know I will have questions. I am on my 2nd grow using bubble buckets auto White Widow (Nirvana ). My 1st grow I average 17.8 oz from 4 WW. I was so damn proud.
Now on my 2nd grow things haven't gone so well. If you read my Introduction post it explain in detail. Thanks for RDWC DIY.

Total noob question. Almost halfway through my first grow. I have 3 DWC buckets. Next grow I’ll probably have 4. Here’s my question...what does that 5th bucket and all the tubing connecting it do? What is the purpose? What is the advantage to connecting them all together?

It's a nutrients resivor, instead of changing water adding nutrients to 4 buckets, I could pump out and do nutrient changes from one spot, pH checking for one buckets instead of phing 4 buckets, I like the resivor verses each individual buckets being it's ownsystem. Less pumps both water and air.

Around 200$ give or take... I did by the big list pots allin one, I'm gonna start another system soon, Now that I got the first one out of the way and some of the quirks worked out.

I'm looking at buying the oxy pot ebb and flow 6 site for 600 just for the fact it's automated and I can add as many pots as I want down the line.

Yes I ended up putting valves on each feed line to regulate the flow. Other then that no it worked great.
