Outdoor 2nd try outdoor grow need assistance

Ok, I will make another attempt when my seeds arrive.

How should I prepare my soil?

I do not have access to Pro-Mix.

To prepare for my germinated seedlings I should avoid all nutes until they are through the soil?

I plan to germinate using the paper towel method, unless you have a better idea.

I am sure I can find a good quality soil mix, I'm just not sure what type. I have a Walmart and a Lowes close by.

I plan to use Better Grow Orchid Plus as my starter nute at 1/4 solution to begin with and then the same brand in Bloom Buster.

Should I use a peat moss to germinate and prep my holes outside?

I am learning from you guys that my Composted Cow Manure,Dried Blood and Perlite was too hot formy seedlings. (Forgive me, I'm new to growing again)

I do have some liquid fence to keep critters away when the begin to sprout.

Any other ideas?

IMO only.

Go get some standard universal/potting compost from walmart.
This will see them through from germ to about 12 days without the need to feed.

Never germ into any pre-ferted compo...If you want to use it..Transplant into it after they show sex.

I plan to germinate using the paper towelmethod, unlessyou have a better idea.

I germ straight to compo...saves any transplant shock from handling...

Same compost and a bit well rotted manure should be enough to prep your outdoor plots.

Hey there Mellow Yellow, glad to see ya here. Welcome...

1st ?- How to prepare my soil. For outside, make sure u till the ground w/something. Nice soft soil for the germing seeds. I spread garden lime on the top of the soil and till it into the ground. Pull all weeds...If you can grow tomatoes in the garden, then the soil is ok for ganja...

2nd?- Right. No nutes until the first true leaves appear. Then use only 1/4 strength for the first couple of times and gradually increase dosage. Note: normally, full strength of any nute is usually to strong for ganja.

Paper towel method is a good one, but I germ mine in a jiffy germination tray w/jiffy plugs. I also use a heating pad to keep the plugs at 75 degrees...

3rd?- As far as the hole goes, if you like, you could mix in some Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting soil into the dirt. This will also help aerate the soil a bit to.
