I do it the same way with 2 solo cups, 1 with the bottom cut out and the side cut to the top., 1 with drain holes, but I never just left the 2nd. cup in the soil? Sounds a whole bunch easier! I guess the roots will grow strait down out of that 2nd solo cup, and the solo cup will not hurt a thing, sounds good. I wait at least 2 weeks for the nute's in that soil, then I have 2 weeks of nute's in new soil, a total of 4 weeks , no added nute's. Good luck with your babies!

Thanks @rick-j , sorry I missed this. I’m just trying the cup in a cup for the first time as I dropped the whole seedling when I took it out of solo cup the last time. I’m hoping there will be less shock with this method.

She is getting 4.5g/G Megacrop, 2g/G Calmag Pro, and 1g/G Sweet Candy. I watered today with runoff every feed and she took about 2L in a 3G pot of coco.

DG has many more bud sites than CBD, I’m guessing as a result of topping. I’m learning about LST and tried tying DG right over but left CBD to grow a lot taller and just tied the main cola down to limit her height while the other colas catch up and grow outwards as I’m training the plant outwards as well. Ultimately I don’t really know wtf I’m doing but I’m trying a couple of different methods. I’ll see what happens over time and apply what I like to the two seedlings I have running in grow battles.

A different method of transplanting I’m trying that I’ve seen around here on other grows. The seedling isn’t actually planted in the pot yet it’s just sitting in there until the roots hit the bottom of the solo cup. I would think another day or two.

Did exactly as you on some of my first runs... This plant will grow natural, one will be leaf tucked, this one defoliated, this one tied, this one topped, yada yada yada...

Thanks @TheArchitect , DG is actually doing what I had in mind, I think. Still getting grow nutes until she finishes stretching. Do I just keep drawing out the colas to the open part of the pot?

I’ve noticed with the CBD plant that letting it grow up a bit before training the main cola gives much more space between leaves and branches; maybe a good thing, maybe not. I’ll still try to level the canopy on her.

I pulled a complete bonehead move yesterday while watering. I tied the DG colas to the pot saucer and picked up the pot to drain the saucer. Yep!! Dumped the whole saucer full of run off on myself. I wasn’t even baked!

Lol funny but not funny right? Reminds me of when I put the milk in the cabinet and the cereal in the fridge. Looking good on grow!
