Indoor 2nd Earthbox Garage Grow (Night Owl, Dark Owl, Gnome & Dream Beans)

Day 50 third top dress
  • Pulled the regular earthbox out to clean the plants up a bit and water in some goodies. When I took the cover off I noticed the black strap has already put feeder roots through the last top dress. So I added another layer of buildaflower, craft blend and kashi. This black strap is a hungry girl.

    Day 51 & 43
  • Took the marathon OG out to clean her up a bit and top dress. I also spread her out a bit.
    IMG_3287.jpeg

Edit: This picture is ridiculous, I didn’t need to zoom out…clearly. You see more of my body then the plant :haha:
    IMG_3288.jpeg

    Her leaves are massive
    IMG_3286.jpeg

I also took the Blueberry Breath out to water in some goodies and her roots were popping through the top dress as well. More top dress it is. Mounded the crap outta this EB. Not fitting much more than this.

    IMG_3294.jpeg

She also was in need of a nice trim. So hard to trim those frosty sugar leaves.

  • Took the regular earthbox out to water in some goodies and the black strap feeder roots were popping out.

So I added more top dress and filled the EB about as much as I could.

The top of the mound is as high as the reservoir tube.

This is definitely the most I have top dressed before. This is the third one and we’re not even at day 60. I also trimmed a few more leaves off to open the canopy a bit more. Here is the ZaMango (left) and black strap (right).
    IMG_3317.jpeg

    IMG_3322.jpeg

ZaMango is a little beast. I am a little worried about bud rot on this main, she didn’t stretch as much as I expected. Like the last one I grew, she is STINKY. Smells just like a rotten mixture of melons and berries with an overtone of mango. Love me some ZaMango.
Edit: I do have a dehumidifier keeping the tent around 50% RH and a lot of air movement. I think it’ll be ok.
    IMG_3318.jpeg
    IMG_3319.jpeg

Black strap is starting to get its purple hues in the buds and on the veins of the leaves. Hard to see in the pics but I think this will be a looker.

    Day 62 & 54
  • Did my last top dress on the marathon og. It’s the last top dress this round yay! That means things are getting close. The marathon og looks a few weeks behind the others even though she is only 8 days behind. Looking like she might be my biggest auto I’ve grown in an Earthbox Jr. Standing almost 3ft.

    Day 64 BBB
  • Took the Blueberry Breath out to trim up more leaves to help with airflow. Man she smells like sweet blueberry diesel. Some sweet funky stuff with a nice chem finish. Sticky and frosty as heck. Excited for this one, I’ll spread her out more when I get time later. Day 64

Edit: The only attempt at training this plant, was breaking the main stem when bending her down. It recovered and has a nice cola. Nice structure, just needs to be opened a bit.

    Day 68 & 60
  • Thanks for the points @Emerald Archer :pass:

Checked the trichomes on the ZaMango. Day 68. Still seeing clear trichs. For some reason I can’t add the trichomes pics. I save them from Google photos to my phone but they won’t upload. :confused1:

Anyways, moving on. The tent capital S Stinks when I open it up :gassy1:

Black strap looks pretty but not as frosty.

    Marathon OG day 63
  • Took the marathon out to top water some goodies in. Same mix as before. This plant is a beast. 44 inches wide and almost 40 inches tall. My tent is a 5x5

I also figured out that chrome won’t let me upload the downloaded trichome pics but safari will. No idea why.
I checked the black strap trichs and I think we’re getting close. I’m looking for daytime effects so I’ll look to harvest when most trichs are milky with little or no amber. What do yall think.

    Day 74 ZaMango chopped
  • My dumb a$& kept running the lights too high. Most of the girls have been fox tailing. I should have turned the light down a couple weeks ago. Not sure what the DLI was before turning it down but I went from 65% to 50% and now most of the tent is sitting around 40 DLI. The ZaMango suffered the most, has some nanners growing out of it so it got the chop yesterday at day 74. It’s still frosty, sticky and stinky as heck. Very chunky buds and very dense. Still has an overly powerful rotten fruit smell, but I get banana more than mango on this one. It also has some fuel on the back end. I’m mad at myself for not adjusting the light sooner. Live and learn.

    Day 77 BS chopped
  • Decided to chop the Black Strap at day 77. Still fox tailing and putting out new pistils so it was time. I couldnt find any nanners. She is a bit airy but looks and smells great. Got a lot of purple and smells like sweet floral sprite. Reminds me of some “purp” I got back in the early 2000s. Excited to see how it dries and cures.

    Day 80 BBB chopped
  • Saw one nanner, checked all of the plant and found more. I wanted to wait another week, but like the other two, Blueberry Breath got too much light in mid and late flower. So she got the chop. Kudos to Derek and the Dream Beans team. Might be the frostiest plant I’ve grown. Crazy dense, buds felt like rocks hitting the trim tray. Smells like really sweet blueberry with a hint of lemon and a funky stink on the backside. Some quality genetics.
Here’s one nanner, photo didn’t turn out great.
