I was sitting thinking to myself about my up-coming grow (250w cfl + 72w L.E.D) and thinking what the possibility's would be putting a hps in a PC grow box. Now my main concern would be temp's, the dimensions i have are (L)400mm (W)200mm (H) 450mm, witch is VERY small being aware that the factory recruitment's distance from the plant should be 32cm. So my solution for this is a small cooltube

. I am planning to use a oil lamp glass chimney, witch can be found on this website http://www.hurricanelamps.co.uk/glasschimneysglobeslenses.htm The Setup for this is very basic, i will be using 150mm ducting that will be connected to 1x 120mm PC fan (74 CFM) witch will be sucking in air, blowing it past the bulb and out to an outake at the back of the PC. I will also have 1 more 120mm fan for outake in the main chamber, and 2x 90mm fans for intake, 1 being positioned just below the cooltube that will dissipate some of the heat. Now my reason for this are basic...Why use 250w cfl when you can use the same equavilant power with better results. So before i go and spend that extra money id like to see what you guys think? will temps still be an issue with this setup?

OH

And wile i am here id like to show you guys one of my previous outdoor projects witch, unfortunately had to be shut down :(

I wanted to try some grafting & L.S.T witch was quite successful. It was 3x Jack-47's wich were grafted together using this technique

*I was very cheap and used sticks & cling film*. It was very successfull, untill my dog ate one of my seedlings  But the other 2 were as happy as pigs in shit  Here are the pictures in order from the pots, seedling till about 2weeks before they came down  R.I.P Ladies

Just before they came down, they both measured about 2 foot, the one on the right being a bit smaller *It doesn't look that tall in the pictures, but it was just the way they were trained* And worst of all, 2 days before i had to give them the chop, one showed up female :(

Its was just to give the under nodes a bit more light. They were VERY bushy because of the L.S.T

Oh, ok! lol Thought it was a special technique of some kind...Im always trying to learn more!!

 not really a SPECIAL technique at all!! although it is a good technique to give some of them lower brances a bit more light...i cant really see it working with autoflowers *could induce some stress*

I think you could just scrape it with a cool tube my 600w aircooled hood i can get my plants within 6" and to be honest a 250w cf runs dam hot a cooltube 250w will be cooler but to be honest the 150w hps would still be over kill for those dimensions

a 250w may bleach your plant at a 4" distance as it puts out to much light

I see, so do you personally think even a 250w cfl will be to hot for the dimensions i have?

i have a 200w on my breeding project and it burnt my plants at 2 " so this may be a push its a plug and grow and put out far more light than a maxibright

150w hps or a 200w cfl is ideal if you can keep the temps down
I have spent the last 15 min looking into this the plug and grow 125w puts out 12000 lumens which is more than enough (other 125w put down 8000-9000 ish) and other bigger bulbs aka same as a 200w choose blue 6400k would be ideal for those dimensions and for flowering autos and keeping the heat down

you need around 10000 for a 1x1ft space for flower
