24/0 or 20/4

I was thinking to try a variation of the 12-1 schedule with this parameters to simulate a 20/4 cycle but with the GLR theory.
13 hours on
4.5 off
2 on
4.5 off
Crazy?

Is there a particular reasoning or something you're trying to achieve with it? Personally I'd skip it unless you're just wanting to play around.

Gas Lantern Routine isn't a popular lighting method.

Thanks For the message.
The main topic I am interested is definitely reducing bills. Autos are proibitive for my energy tarif ( 12/12 also).
I read it around and some grower mention no difference in yield or quality, but a reduction in 5 hours daily of electricity.

well, do the math and you'll find that autos will likely cost you less than growing photo periods, if you grow them from seeds. Most photos need 6-8 weeks in veg, then at least 8 weeks ( or more ) in flower for 80% of all cultivars.
8 weeks of veg= 1008 hours plus 8 weeks of flower= 672 hours. Total= 1680 hours. 12 weeks of 18/6 for autos for 12 weeks=1512. That's 168 less hours of electricity used! I'm currently growing Granddaddy Purps. It needed 8 weeks of veg and flower will be 9-10 weeks...

However this is in the world of spherical cows, an ideal that is never attained in reality. After 5 years of autos including some genuine 18oz monsters, I have finally understood the wild variability in quality from autos, meaning you get plenty of duds and this skews the equation somewhat.

Seems to me with autos, the more you can stuff into a tent the less variability in final weight. Pretty consistent total weights with 9 plants in the same tent compared to 4 plants in the same space. Photos can be grown with 4 weeks of veg or less from seed and will save a good amount of electricity. But they take a lot more fertilizer. Here's my skunk1s with 4 weeks of veg and 8+ weeks into flower. They'll be done in 100 days from seed which is about what long autos take

I take summer off from growing. I start back up the first of September and run 20 hours on through the entire grow. My December and March starting grows I run 24 hours on for the first 14 days or so and then drop to 20 hours on for the rest of the grows.
I do this to maintain an optimum and steady VPD for the critical root building period.
My tent is in a spare bedroom with no space heater so my light provides the heat.

I am now running white light 18-6/24. When the white lights go out the black light comes on for 6 hours.
