You've been a big help throughout tut process!

I've noticed on the berry bomb quite a lot of the hairs are turning orange, much less on the thc bomb, none on the skunks. I've read that 50-60% orange hairs denotes optimum potency (along with checking the colour of the trichs)(and thats down to preference of high),when my loupe arrives I'll obviously have that to check with.

So I'm thinking the BB is maybe near harvest, if so I'm kinda pissed because I wanna see it swell out, ya know!!!

Hopefully the trichs are all clear atm and the hairs are just orange, guess I'll know in a few days.

The three indicators that I use in order of ease are.leaf yellowing,the lower fan leafs start to yellow a couple of weeks before harvest and spread up the plant. By the time leafs in the buds are starting to turn, you're ready.
Pistils, I go with most have turned orange, 50-60% is a bit early for my taste and the added weight in that time is worth it.
Then there's the tric's, I'm letting the ax's go to about 25-30% as they are sativa dom and could do a with a bit of stone.

It's almost a certainty you'll take the 1st one early ,unless you have an iron will. I think everybody does.

So, how are the leafs looking?

Is the leaf yellowing not a side effect of when you flush with just water, or will they naturally yellow ,mate?

Hopefully I can keep my mitts off it until it's done, the temptation is definitely there though mang!
TBH, I did take the lower fan leaves off from most of the plants, there's no signs of yellowing at all right now, but I'll be keeping an eye them from now on.

I'll probably try harvest them at different potencies so I can see what I like. My initial thoughts were more CBD orientated

They'll naturally start to yellow, it does speed up during the flush.

You'll want to leave them a bit longer for more CBD.
