New Grower 1st Grow take a look

Ok so here's the deal I have some auto seeds that I wanna get going... I will post a list of materials I just need advice on best nutrients my soil mixture and overall advice on how to maximize what I have already.... So here it is

Afghan Kush Ryder from World of Seeds Afghan Express from Positronics THC Bomb from Bomb Seeds and a couple freebies
Two 1000w dimmable quantum series ballest
One T12 light fixture
One T8 light fixture thinking of converting fixtures to led
1 timer

I need help on grow room design and growing medium and nutrients
I've seen grows done with T12 and T8 with cfls this is a idea as I would like to save as much money as possible
I know running the HPS and MH might make a better grow was thinking I could dim the ballest and still probably be better than the fluorescent fixtures...
Ideally I'd like to grow the best medicine possible yield and flavor smoke smell etc.

the hps/mh would be the route i'd take. with florescent tube's, t-8 and t-12 really don't have enough output as say a t-5. as for soil,I've tried Fox Farms Ocean Forrest and Happy Frog, and Sunshine mix #4 with good results. and nutes, all I use is Dr.Earths Nitro Big, Golden Bloom and Flower girl bud booster. it's all organic and is pretty simple to use altho if you're inclined to mix a lot of stuff the AN ph perfect line seems to give top-notch results. as far as the grow room, build as big as you can go within reason 60- 70 inches tall so you have plenty of head room to hang lights and a carbon scrubber with a strong 150 cfm exhaust fan and ample ventilation. for 4 + plants I'd go with a 2 to 3 foot x 3 to 4 foot footprint. hope this helps ;D

Thanks was wondering can I do without the carbon scrubber smell is not a issue
