New Grower 1st Grow: Sour Crack noob to AF and led

I'm into day 4 since the lil one stood up and opened her wings. Mephisto: sour crack. I have her under 4x13w 3500 cfls (24hrs). 2.3x2.3x4 mars tent. I am using ff warrior around the the root riot, 3in on sides and 4in around the base. I also added mykos on base of hole and sprinkled on sides of hole before setting. Dampened the site, and placed root riot in. The surrounding soil is ffof 75% perlite 25%. The temp is 75-80f and RH 55-75%. Water is ro from a shop, Ph water 6.4.

When should I start the led. (Lush lighting lumenatorx2...190w. specs say 600w equivalent ) and how high above seedling ?

Hey diggity

Congratulations on starting your first and grow. There's nothing wrong with starting seedlings under LED other than the amount of energy you're going to use doing it. I would wait until you have leaves of three on your seedling, by then the roots should be mature enough for the plant to take off and the LED will help it really grow fast.

Being a typical Stoner I didn't read through and see what kind of LED you have, but most can be held about 2 ft above a plant safely. Some cobs might have to be held higher and some very powerful LEDs may have to be held higher. But your average Chinese LEDs will be just fine it two feet.

Where I'm growing

Thanks for your response. Energy is not a problem, I have solar so not worried about energy consumption. I just want to get her under what's best for her growth, and under her permanent light. The cfls are going good, but if the led (lush lighting lumenatorx2 , 190w...600w equivalent) are better, rather have her under them so I can dial it all in. .

For now CFLs are great everything's going on below the surface anyway. When you do switch about two foot with that light will probably be good all the way through your grow.
