I do believe in calling people out who are not honest. The old hippie in me doesn't want to see people get ripped off and lied to.
It may be possible that they (the growers who won the competition) put on the competition and were the only competitors. Until I can see something to the contrary, I will keep my opinion. AND I will say I was wrong if proved to be.

I set my search engine to (espaniol latin american) and did find other results- not many as it might have been a poorly covered? but sweet seeds have info about it on their chile website- looks like their ice cool auto won something.

heck Im not sure what the big deal is to be 100% truthful with ya,I dont see an issue, a legit or small local comp or cup with local like genetics or similar sponsored by a company in the biz.. not sure what the issue is but Im sure it would have been fun to swing through the place n burn one er twelve with like minded peoples

Now that sounds like one hell of a time!!! as most of these comps are in spain, i really need to learn spanish so that one day i can attend one of these comps! I was reading another forum and some on here too ppl are always coming at fastbuds for their names of strains,competitions, other things to but if u guys jus grew their plants u would see that they do produce some quality autos so is a name or award a big deal because to me it's about the cannabis and if u look at the grow journals they have good cannabis
Its a general attitude about autos that the older heads in different communities have taken. Autos are on par, and in my opinion, surpass photos as a function of yield, time and quality. Photos only really have an advantage when you can use the unlimited veg time, but with some of the yields I am seeing from the latest generation of Dutch and Spanish autos, I may have to rethink that. Also, plants can only get so big indoors, there are limitations to lighting.
Remember there are shills afoot. Alot of the flack they catch on other boards (cough*icmag*cough) is users that are sponsored by seed co's secretly that like to trash talk the 'competition'. They are new, and easy to pick on until they have had feet on the ground for longer. If you see a guy growing gear exclusively from one company, and popping up every time someone mentions said company, well, you may have to question his motivations. We are all humans here, you can understand this attitude from a survival place. You respond when you feel threatened. I'm not knocking it, it's business. Fastbuds should be proud of all the hate, it really is an accurate measurement of success.
This attitude, not just toward autos, but the elitist attitude I see some communities adopt, is the reason why I am here. I see guys here that have mastered this craft, pushing these genetics to the absolute limits with no pride. Just a a spirit of adventure and experimentation. And those same guys are willing to share all this amazing infomation just for the sake of community. Where at besides here do they do that at?
