Yeah it was signature required. But on mine, fedex left a slip on my door that I was able to sign and leave out. Then I didn't have to be present and they used that as the signature the next day when they came back.
Ha ha brilliant brother I love beaver aswell

No way I dare to drop a seed without a tap root into soil.
I have lost 6 seeds that way. When excavating pots where no germination took place, I was unable to recover the seeds or something that may have been a seed. I'm sure they rotted away.
I stick to germination in perlite and excess water with Root Complex. In that system I have 100% germination.
I'm the same just won't put in soil / coco untill I see a taproot. What I do is lights scrap seed with sand paper put it in a glass of luke warm water for 6_8 hr then into my propagator with kitchen roll inside and I mist every couple hrs this way works great for me

I drop into soil without a taproot exclusively. Used to so the paper towel, lost 2 10 packs of seeds in a row to it, couldnt figure out why, so now I soak the seeds in room temp water for 24 hours, then drop it 1/4 inch deep - usually no taproot, but a split seed. I get 80-100% success that way, never fails.

I go about a cm. Deep, no more than my pinky finger knuckle deep. Drop in the seed. Lightly brush dirt over hole, do not press down on the dirt. Once the whole is covered use a pipette plastic dropper to apply about 2oz/20ml of water around where the seed is. Using the dropper allows you to get everything yet without damaging the soil with water coming out of a cup or bottle, that can push your seed down further.so I recommend the dropper. So after adding my water I will cover the area I planted the seed with either saran wrap over the whole pot or recently I've been using clear solo cups as humidity domes for the first couple days until my seedling becomes established then I remove the domes.
While your waiting for your seed to pop you may have to once a day spray a mist under your humidity done and make sure the top soil that's under the dome stays moist and doesn't dry out. Hope this explains things well, I just woke up and haven't medicated lol
2oz is more than 20ml isn't it?
