Terple,
Hi,

I am planning to make feminized seeds of C4 Matic by Fast Buds. I got everything I need to make the Colloidal Silver as well. The first night I made it in 12 hrs, the next morning it was at 18 PPM and I didn't do any type of cleaning that time. I just finished the next batch in 24 hr , I was hoping that the PPM would be double because it was double the time to make and I cleaned the rods periodically. But surprisingly, it was still at 18 PPM. Does anyone know how to make the batch more potent? Note that I don't want to use the plug in the wall method, preferably I'm trying to make it using a 9V battery.

Happy growing!

EC is not a measure of the the silver in your solution. Get a laser pointer, preferably a green light one. Shine it through the CS The higher the concentration the brighter the line through the solution. When you see a nice visible line it is strong enough.

What a fine idea! Good on you MOG, great share!

Hey, thanks very much Man O Green, I'll do this moving forward.

18 ppm is plenty to do the job.

Good to know, so far I've sprayed 2 plants with CS. Stupidly, the first plant I sprayed I think it was sprayed too late. It was 31 days from seed and it's full life cycle is 65 days. So I decided to experiment by spraying another plant that was 20 days from seed. Hopefully at least one of them produce pollen. So far both plants have burnt looking pistils and the plant that's 31 days is growing greenery where bud should be, hopefully those are pollen sacs forming. Anyways, fingers crossed that I get me some seeds.

Are you spraying the whole plants ?

I spray the whole branch leaves included. Not sure if it's required, but I do it and it works. Be careful with the over spray, you don't want to get it on stray branches.

As mog said PPM's don't really seem to be a thing for CS. I could never get mine past 21 ppm and when I tried it would actually go down the longer I left it. If you make CS again, try going with 3 batteries instead of 1. That way you don't have to leave it as long.

Not sure if anyone else does this , but I clean my rods every hour when making cs. I also Filter my CS through a coffee filter at the end of the process before I use it. I do this because I'm of the assumption you only want the small silver particles.

Hey MOG

I'm only spraying the budsites and anywhere I see pistils really. Isn't that how I'm supposed to do it?
Parts of a plant that have been sprayed should not be consumed. If you reverse the entire plant you will need to collect the pollen to fertilize another female. I reversed only 1 branch and it fertilized everything in the tent that was at the proper age. The plant that I reversed was started 2 weeks ahead of her sisters. I could have waited 3 weeks. It was a single strain grow for the purpose of making seed. It worked. I got a lot of seed. They were mostly just like their mother but there was still variation. I only did it once because there are just too many new strains by so many breeders that beg to be tried.
