i am useing a 1000watt light in a 4x5x7 room i need to no how to cool it i already have a 6 inch inline vortex and proper ventilation in the room but still seems to be a little warm

Whats the room temp? Is there fresh air intake? is the air from around the bulb being expelled outside the room? whats the ambient temp outside the room?

Personally , bringing in cool fresh air is the best way to keep temps down if you have already used a bulb cooling solution . If the air temp outside the room is not far off from the temps in the room , then you'll have a hard time keeping temps down . I had to use a 5000BTU AC unit to keep an 1800 watt room cool enough . That was even with cool tubes etc .

if you have a good air intake

get a decent air cooled shade it probs knock the temp down 5c but make sure its rated for a 1000w hps and with a decent light spread then hook this up to outake and vent the heat directly out.
if you have very hot ballasts mounting these outside your room could save a degree or so

you can have higher temps with c02 injection as well

dont get a cooltube mk1

whats the dif between the cooltube mk1 & mk2?

I repped you instead for trying lol
there are better reflectors my silverstars are pretty cool some times i think to cool for winter

I've never seen the silverstars or heard of them either... I have just a cooled hood... works good but as 'm getting ready to increase power I know I'll need cooling... so working a solution for that atm... in my head at least.. :smoke: thanks for the rep mate!

if your curious matesilver.jpg but those of different brands growstar ect

iv got the big cool tube the one jm is showing on the post plus a power plant areowing with 600w in them in line with a 8inch fan blowing thru them, the powerplant was £60 and the big ass cooltube was £55 but less heat escapes from the powerplant than the cooltube,so the powerlpant is excelent £$ for value and is only afew quid more than the cooltube,i only got the cooltube as a fill in untill i can get my hands on apowerplant as the hydroshop only had the 1 pp left..
