ok man.well thats what Im gonna do then.I was trying tto do it from his book and it it didnt even get off tthe ground.LOL!oh well.Thanks again Bromeo,ill get back to ya once I start using messing with that soil.I had no idea if i would be too strong or not or really the best way to approach it.sweet.one last thing.for the top 1/3 or the pots,could I use my regular soil that has a few additives in it(the seperate bin) to top it off and mix a 50-50 mix with the 2.1.then just run a small plug of seedling mix?

EOF, all I have grown in thus far is TLO, and this is what has always worked for me. I fill the container with my TLO mix and then hollow out the middle (take out TLO) the size of a party cup (20 oz), and fill that with Fox Farm Happy Frog soil. It is a very nice mellow seedling mix, but has enough nutes in it to last until the roots hit the TLO. By that time the roots hit the TLO they can handle the hotter mix. I can almost tell the day they hit the TLO, as they explode.

So I would recommend either Bromeo's method or mine and it should work great for you.

I would skip the plug of starting mix. Personally I would use coco or something with no nutrients what so ever. Plenty will leach up from the mix below.

Thanks guys.Just trying to utilize everything I got.I tend to overthink things way too much when its new to me.out of an organic bottle I can do all day long.well everything you all have helped me with I think filling the pot with the hot mix and hollow out a 20 ounce cup sounds easiest, since thats why I overthink things since Im only able to do so much and Im just everywhere at once ttrying to figure out 100 things about my sickness n such.So jus feel spread too thin sometimes is all.Just needed some guidance and ya'll have given me that.Thank you Bromeo.Thank you Stickman!I have a good structure to help build my knowledge of planting into a cooked soil.A world of help,thank you!"AFN smoke out"

AHHH,thats one thing I have been thinking too.leaching into tthe mix above or whatever.Thats weighed heavy on my choices too since again ,I overhink,but am aware,but no trials to go by.glad you brough tthat up.

I tried some subcool mix last year. Worked great but not my style. My outdoor tomato plant went apeshit over it so it all worked out.

I filled one with a 3 layer mix as we talked about.And I did a 30 ounce cup or so and filled that with the most neutral mix I had(short of using seedling mix,I didnt),and filled in around it with the hot stuff.Super excited about ya'lls help.Can wait to see what they do.:Sharing One:

Great plan my man.Placing the cup in the middle like is how I do mine also, I have tape over the top of the cup I use, and able to fill around it with TLO and water, so as not to get any of the TLO in the middle. I came up with this when I had to do this on several containers at once.

It will be cool to see how well each method works for you.

Thanks brother!!Ya I was freakin out since I couldn't get over that seedling mix and was(still am some)a bit worried about his 2.1 mix I bought from him as well.ill know in a few weeks how well this is gonna work.I know they'll both work .Im just curious as to which one works with my grow style.I like tthe plug idea,just like I thought too,about the leaching of the bennies n such and just curious as to how well itt works with an Auto for me.Hell ill have enough to repot my photo or two into outside in a few weeks or so too.that'll be killer.thanks again buddy.hey ,I treated my photos with my 209 systemic to prep em for outdoors.Have you ever used regular dawn dishsoap in filtered water for a basic insectcide and wetting agent?How well did it work?Ive not done that yet.read a bunch about it,just not done it yet.LOL!
