10 day old plants with shriveled leaves

I recently faced such an issue with a gorilla glue auto seed that produced twins. One of the 2 was fine but the second seemed to be week and deformed like this one. However within a week it recovered and now it's already begining to show preflowers and its grow pattern is a typical cannabis plant and quite a strong one. Just treat it like any other seedling and it will recover soon.
By the way and although it is off topic, gorilla glue either photo or auto tends to produce a lot of twins. I have not only the auto twins but also 2 photo seeds that produced twins in my current grows. It seems that strains that are the offspring of original hermie anchestors like gorilla glue tend to be not only very potent but also have traits that promote growth in every aspect...sorry about the off topic again.

I think so, looks the same to me. Is there something I might be doing to bring out this mutation? I'll probably let it ride, a new one would be too far behind and it's better than having an empty spot.
nope, it's inherent... a bad batch of seeds likely,... it can happen to anybody, and I know this breeder is damn good!

I sent Daz a DM on Instagram to see if he had any advice or insight. He didn't seem to think it's a mutation. This is what he sent me back:

"Hey bud, I'm not really sure what that could be. It looks like there could be a root zone issue with pests or pathogens that may be causing the odd growth as I have not seen any grow like that personally"

....well, you can look for mites, but as much as I like and respect GBD, I disagree with with his diagnosis.... If this starts from the very first true leaves, it's a growth aberration, mutation or otherwise... We see this frequently in here, and so far it's not been a pest issue, the symptoms don't match up.... Sometimes they grow out of it, or not,.. perform well, or not, it's a little gamble... you'll know soon enough if it stays runty!

I agree with you as I've had a few other people say mutation as well, plus that absolves me as the problem so I'm really on board!

It's not looking good for her but we'll see how she fairs. Picture was taken day 26. Yellow cards are for observation, haven't caught anything yet.

I had a SexBud photo' (Female seeds) that has a similar brittle, crinkle leaf mutation, super nute sensitive... Almost chucked her, but she started to grow well enough to see her out for shits and giggles... She stayed runty, bitchy the whole way, but showed good mold resistance and made some damn fine bud, smelled like fresh apricots, uncanny!

Don't LST her, take a straw or a pencil and tie her to it, to support her in an upright position. Let her grow in SOG style. After a week you can start contemplating the possibility of light defoliation and lollipoping her.
