Live stoner chat and Live stoner IM is clearly different but kinda confusing. Then in the live stoner chat category there is a pinned topic “live stoner chat”. Maybe a name change of the category and leave the topic acting as the “community lounge”. Changing live stoner im wouldnt be a bad idea either.

I don’t know how I missed this one. Honestly I’d prefer to change the IM instant messenger name; Live Stoner Chat has been a LONG, and I mean LONG TIME name for that category.

Is there a way to have the all categories page be the “home” page or whatever the correct term is? I grabbed a screenshot for a visual even tho Im sure @Hobbes is aware of what Im talking about.
This feels much more “forum” like to me. I dont know, just a thought at 2:30am. I also like the current layout because you get to see the pic for grabbing attention.
Might be a good idea to add journals and Q&A grow help to the sidebar with live stoner?

Yes, it’s possible.
And it may be possible to do even while keeping the “Latest” setup with the pictures (which I am not willing to take away.) I’ll do some playing with it.

Hey, so you can actually “per user account” change the default landing page for when you are on the forum. It’s in your user preferences under your profile, under the “Interface” tab, under “Default Home Page”
I’ll have to muck with the settings to see what it’s not displaying that top bar of images.

Thanks for taking the time to look into it. My thought was to help make it easier for new members and guests to find their way around. Something a little more familiar.

@Global-Moderators @Hobbes Just wanted to say the added categories to the left side menu is a great addition and the icons look awesome too. Maybe a couple resizes to do?
Also seeing more activity in general. We arent up big numbers in users but we are getting a few people coming over from the other social media. We’re moving in the right direction, pat on the back for all involved.

Thanks brother! I’m playing with the sizes a little bit (trying to find the sweet spot; they started out almost overlapping each other when I started playing with it the other day, but they could be taken down a bit more I’m thinking.)
The original/small ones are inherent emoji’s from the software; the new ones are images I’m uploading. The plan is to replace all of the originals (I’m slowly working on the image creation today,) I’ll see how they look once I have a few side-by-side to see what the sizing needs to do.)
I have virtually retired all old/existing staff from the old forum. Mossy/Willie/Waira will remain admin; but we are hitting this now with a 100% fresh new team. Simply Nuggets and KingRatt are just killing it; they are doing such an amazing job.
We’ve got North Atlantic Seed Company that is officially partnering with us (interview coming, and we are doing an agreed information/post exchange with them, so it’s not just “affiliate program” stuff, but they will shouting us out on their platforms. Then we’ve got the head breeder for the autoflower section of Dirty Bird Genetics coming aboard.
And then with Athena testing (R&D testing even) and Sebastian with Good Genetix (who seems so far like a really good egg; getting very positive vibes,) I think we’re on the right path.
I’ve been sharing our weekly statistics with the new staff; our memberships are definitely up, engagement actually peaked this week, and we’re seeing new content creation.
KingRatt created an official Subreddit for us; Nuggets is at the IG helm now.
We’re coming up with strategies for the existing vendors. Nuggets created some promotional “this is how you do things on AFN” videos for Dream Beans members (and everyone else) to learn how to join and do things (Derek has a hell of a following, if we can help his members figure out the site, they will come and he will come.)
We just needed a little gas on the coals to get the fire started again.

The team is dedicated. 
I got off the phone with Beth the owner of NASC yesterday and am very excited to be partnering with her over here, (and think it will be great for our community as well) we will be doing some Dirty Bird genetics testing in the CC as well.
Overall, we are just looking to grow the community organically with the best members possible!
But over at NASC they have been looking for a home for their community and talking with Beth, I think this could be a great place to land!

I havent had a job since the 20th so Ive been on high team duties. lol.
Ive been keeping up with everything mostly. Saw we had some emoji work being done so didnt know who was working on the icons. But yeah those categories make it way more familiar for people coming from either software.
