New grower. Currently on my second grow. Had some mishaps ended up with an extra seed germinated and not a lot of space . So I decided to try growing it in a1 gallon fabric pot. Using Promix Hp and nature's living soil. Led light in a grow tent. Can anyone point me in the direction to find some info on someone who has done this before? Want to get an idea of a feeding schedule, issues etc.

Thanks in advance

What info are you looking for? Growing in 1 gallon fabric pots is pretty common especially in smaller spaces. I run 1 gallon fabric pots in 2x2 tents to keep them smaller and I water every other day. Feed every watering. I grow 4 at a time. I could go with bigger pots but I’m height restricted too and even in 1 gallon my plants almost outgrow my tents.

@Bigchromedog :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome: You just need to water/fertigate a small pot more often to meet the plants demands.

What nutrients are you planing on running? I know you are starting with some good living soil but in a small container you will need to feed more often.

i grew a sour kush in a 1 gallon nursery pot for fun in my living soil mix. top dressed with a lil guano real early and fed dragonfly earth medicine fat flowers (expensive veganic powdered amendment, worth it tho) when pot started running out of gas.. the worms in the soil all survived and went back into the bin afterwards
small fabric pots dry out fast so i used a nursery pot instead so my soil wouldnt dry out, which is critical in tlo.

Lots of us do it but think Man O Green is gonna be your best bet on getting the most out of small pots. He's the Ace of Cups (solo that is)

Thanks for the replies. I am really at a transition as far as feed goes. I have the fox farm trio, I also have coast of Maines stonington plant food and fish bone meal (dry amendments) I also have the nature's living soil autoflower concentrate and just picked up the girl flower power. Trying to find my groove with this stuff. Not opposed to something new either. Trying to find what is easy and works for me. Any suggestions are appreciated. I am using tap water that is bubbled and ph'd somewhere between 6.4 and 6.8

Is it easier to feed liquid fertilizers in the small pots since they need things quicker? Teas the best option? What is Easier to calculate amounts of feed and cal mag?

Really appreciate the direction! Thanks

Did you mix NLS or layer? My first run was NLS and had issues. Everything was great until flower. Then BOOM. To be fair, I was adding teas and top dress. However, not knowing what is in NLS, made it difficult to diagnose a def or lockout. Made it to harvest with a decent yield, but it wasn’t pretty and was stressful. If I were to use NLS again, I would NOT layer and I wouldn’t add anything until the plant tells me it needs something, probably week 3 or 4.

their are a few threads re: NLS. A few of us used the term “NLS disease”. Less is more.
