I read when u first start to meditate u should count the inhale and exhale of the deep breaths your taking from 1-10 and if u have a thought address it and then go back to counting until u can focus on just your breathing or something....is that true or can u sit and think about whatever u want? is the point to relax in your thoughts or have a completely free mind where your not really thinking just sitting it a state of zen? lol serious question to anyone who knows about meditating :Sharing One:
The point is a silent mind so thoughts aren't very conducive to that. We're constantly qualifying and quantifying every object in the world around us and these are exercises in ego to some extent. If you can let go of the things of the world there really isn't much left to think about, all thoughts need subjects after all![]()
