man this is good stuff ......just finished with a cuilinary degree a few years back and had never come across it like this .....was basiclly sustainability ......

From mY heritage French my Grandparnets always had their own farm veggies the whole nine yards chickens pigs cows .....got fussed at alot around 20s cause they had the lil fungi from the cow poop lol

I strongly remember when the winter came everything was left for dead right there ...all plants were recycled into the soil and compost upon compost upon compost ofr manure grass cuttings everything was kep banna peels egg sheals left over oyster shells ......

so Glad this in being introduced again as the way forward ....the natives tought this to the white man years ago .......

IM now going back to school for nutrition and a business degree ...then ill have my masters kinda late doing all this but shit ....All the kids need better help these days ....the perservative in everything Is the link to the cancer that is everywhere Sodium NItrate ......NUmb 1 leading cause of prostrate cancer ....when its heated it creates the agents ....did alot of reasearch ...shit tons of it ....Made me go back to gardening cause besides smoking a lil doobie ...im pretty fit for the age .........

I remember they would also move certain parts for the year to replinish the nutes ....we grew alfalfa alot too as we had 6 race horses .....so all this was the master plan back then from mY grandparents ....

I am obsessed with Vermi Culture as well >>.......OK the compost piles were our fishing bait piles too ......go turn the compost and bam ya got some fat juicy worms the fish down the road loved ......i hadted going by that thing to me it stunk but i guess i didnt know what good stuff really was ........

I remember moms always had a secret plant when id go with a kid .....rembering now it was the live on MJ .....I knew one day too id be into gardening just took a lil time .....Anyone ever see squirrels eat baby watermelons ...I have 2 huge pecan tress and the garden cant come alog the squirrels eat eveything ...now they tasting my baby cucumbers ......I use vinegar on towels ...shit cayenne peppers ....man im gonna start harvesting rodents they well fed and good to eat as well !!!!!

not to mention i chopped half the pecan trees off trying to get em scared .....
