a little update, Since I have put the Nlb into the larger resevior it has exploded. I have been trying to smash it down with a small screen to try and keep.it.under control. The plan was to veg it 20/4 until I could pull out the autos. well as some of you have already said the bios still have a while to go so this is my dilema. Let the Northern lights blue continue to veg and risk it overgrowing my groom, my house, and quite possibly the entire nieghborhood killing thousands. or do I start 12/12 now with a 2'x4' screen ( instead of the 4'x4' screen i planned on which would cover the whole room ) and then try to throw in another 2x4 screen in 2-3 weeks hoping there will be enough strech left to fill out the rest of the screen ( i would just tuck shoots under the first screen not weave, so once the autos were out I could center the igloo in the room and split the plant down the middle with two the two screens ) what to do?
What would yall do? I checked trichs on #1 the scrog plant which is at least a week closer to finish than #2 and the are about 60% clear 40% milky. Ordinarily I would let it keep on chuggin. But we've been out for a few months and with space concerns I am considering taking it sooner than normal.
I think I am going to start flushing #1 in two days hich will be day 70 or week 10, then take it down 5+ days later depending on the sitch. Its a comprimise but eh... what are you gonna do.
If anyone has grown NLB before and has any info on strech ect . please fire some advice my way. what would you all do?
oh by the way the two soil plants are regular sleestackxskunk freebies, took clones hopefully at least one is female to make into a mother, they'll be going into my clone cabinet when the flip happens. peace

Started flush on #1 and flipped to 12/12 last night. I decided not to risk running out of room and not being able to finish northern lights blue bush. biodiesel mass 1 is about 50% 50% milky/ clear. In five ish days when it gets cut I think it will be plenty mature enough. I dont mind some good day time smoke either its nice to not get zonked into uselessness everytime you smoke. #2 Im gonna try to let go as long as I can.
Today is day 70 so five days will be day 75. Right around where I have seen some other peoples journals on bio mass harvest and they're reports were favorable soooooooo

bio mass #1

today is day 4 of flush for #1 and its buds are still getting fatter a little every day with very little yellowing of the fan leaves so probably 3-5 days before she gets cut.
#2 has been dropping by about .1 ec each day just topping with ph'd water. Last night it was about 1.0 ec although its leaves have started to yellow more then #1. probably will do one more res change on it tonite keep it at ec 1.0.

Now a word of warning about large resevoir dwc setups from your friendly fellow farmer

Large resevoirs create LARGE plants, which will in turn require VERY LARGE amounts of water and nutrients so be prepared if you are planning on going down the big bucket road.
The igloo cooler I am using holds 20 gallons and can hold up to 25 if I wanted the water level aright at the bottom of the net pot. My other ones are 2.5 gallons and even less with a large rootmass in there. So my nutrient requirements for 20 gallons compared to 2.5 gallons are 8X as much nutes to get to the same ec level.
I had thought "No problem Greenjeans that big of a resevoir should hold its water level for a longer period of time meaning longer time between res changes . That should even out the excess nutrient requirement."
Thats all well and good but heres the kicker.The NLB shrub is drinking an average of... get this.... 10+ gallons a day. :jaw:
In the past week I have used a months worth of veg nutes and am nearly out.

The lesson here is be prepared weed scouts:thumbs:

I will try and get some shots with a better camera of #1 biodiesel mass harvest here in a few days. I want to get some better macros to do this plant justice, of the two phenos I got it looks like #1 would be the "keeper" buds are much bigger and they are Coated in trichs. #2 is no slouch either. The true test will be the smoke report :smoke:

One down!

Cut down the first biodiesel mass, will take down the other in maybe a week or so. the trimmed bud is one of the colas there were probably a dozen or so that size. really easy plant to trim and the scissor hash got me bombed looking foward to the smoke. trimmed a smaller branch a week ago for a sneak peak its almost ready to smoke. Oh also the second plant is starting to go purple! definately two very different phenos.
on a sad note wit looks like we may be forced to move so unless i can get one of my legal buddies to take her on I may lose Northern lights blue after a 3 month veg. meh thats life roll with the punches. peace

i remember my first bucket grow .... i eat drank slept and dreamed DWC that first grow and pulled 6 zips of one plant! formlex/canna aqua/rhizotonic/potash and pk 13/14 plus PURE devotion lol. I was blown away how fast and big it grew in DWC and once you get your head into it its realy not that hard!

I was blown away how fast and big it grew in DWC and once you get your head into it its realy not that hard!
