How does everyone else feel about this? @Cultivators



These are meant to be "do what you want with them" seeds. There are a lot of packs that we were sent; I think that with the amount and diversity of the breeder packs, there's just no real way to get "one of every body" out every single month, at least I'm not totally sure how we would do that without having either multiple winners or multiple contests (and then costs start to go up, so that's a consideration too.)

In that same breath, I'd like for us to be able to sponsor growers with seeds for grow-and-show's with what was sent, or to supplement possible existing grow-and-show's if the breeders are sponsoring them. I mean, there's a LOT of seeds here. And I mean A LOT. And we haven't even gotten through like what, 1/2? Maybe a 1/3? Of all the breeders on here and friends of?

I think it all sounds awesome! Prizes to do what you will with, support for grow and shows, say if somebody has a drastic damp off or something. Idk, sounds like you are trying your hardest to make everybody happy, and thats all you can do! Im all for all of, using the seeds to supplement AFN cultivators is awesome, amd i totally agree with all the rules so far. Its not hard to get in, it just shows a little commitment. Ive been telling some friends about the site trying to get some new peeps turned on ti the awesomeness that is AFN! As for the giveaway, it seemed like it entered me, it sent me back to the hone page after i entered.

I thought it seemed good and fair only thing I thought was a box should contain the all same breeder if possible rather then multiple different ones

I'd never be able to get to all the breeders if we did it that way. Or I'd be shipping out a dozen boxes a month.

If you guys think the prize packs are too loaded; I'd like feedback on that. It was about $194 of retail seeds in that box.

The size of the packs are not particularly important to me, but one consequence of that is that, for many of us, that may mean that not all get planted or journaled. For me I might like to join if one or a few strains are of interest, but I would be surprised if I would be likely to grow and journal them all. I would certainly journal any that I did grow, but again, that may not happen in the year that I received them.

You might be better off asking the donors how they feel about the seeds being given out in packages that include lots of seeds including those of the competition. The consequences might be more important to them than to us growers.

We're at 41 subscribers on YouTube, so when we hit 50 I'll be doing another box for that.

If we had someone that was in Canada that I could reliably send these to that would be willing to redistribute, that's a conversation I'm willing to have as well; but that's going to require a large box of boxes sent, etc. It's not undoable though. Easier than figuring out European stuff lol.

You could just state that there is no shipping outside the US. If pickup/ local shipping arrangements aren't made within 30 days, the pack goes back into a new raffle.
