Although, there are some older country songs that aren't too bad.

It's like milk. The best one is the one you grew up with. I was immersed in hippy/rock counterculture all through my youth.

It's all good (well most) From there it's a matter of taste.

Not that many mainstream country songs hook me but I also like folk bluegrass and zydeco which have similarities.

Whatever gets your foot tapping. It's all good.
