when would I start using these nutes? I’m in a mix of happy frog and ocean Forrest soil. 3 day old Mephisto forum stomper and germinating a night owl Blue sprayed shoes remix. Wanna mess them up as little as possible any help would be beyond appreciated. Thanks

I believe both of those are organic soils with base nutrients to start so they should be good nutrient wise for the first few weeks. The Advanced Nutrients trio you are running is typically used in hydro I think(that’s my current use of the product). The calculator for running the advanced nutrient schedule can be found Here. I am on my first run with the AN trio in a solo but have backed off to 3ml/l rather than their 4ml/l. So the hard part for a straight answer to you question is that the nutrients you are running don’t match the soil/media. In those soils I would be aiming for a ph of 6.5, but when I mix the ph perfect It’s more around 5.8. I have limited experience though so heed advice of the elders if they arrive. I personally would feed ph’d water close to 6.5 for the first few weeks
Edit: I really wanted to tell you to just run the AN program so I could watch you like a Guinea pig :crying:

As noted above, your soil mix will feed them for at least a couple weeks. After that, I would keep your fertigations low initially, perhaps half of the recommended schedule, and ramp up gradually only after you see color lighter than you would like on the lower fans. The nutes are fine, the problem, and it is normal for soil mixes, is that it is difficult or impossible to know exactly what is still in the medium when you start with the nutes, and that can cause imbalance issues. IMO about all you can do is start light, watch your plants, and cross your fingers.

As for the pH perfect thing, it did not work for me the first time I used it in my solo grow last winter. I had to pH, and the buffer in the mix actually seemed to fight the process of getting the pH where I wanted it. I tried the stuff on my solo run just to see how it would work, but will not be using it again. It is too pricey given that for me at least it does not eliminate the need to adjust pH, and may make it more difficult.

Good luck with it. :goodluck:

My advice would be to return those bottles and use this stuff instead:

Everybody had already said what would say, you got 3 to 4 weeks feed in your soil before you will need to start feeding them.

I'm in agreement with @Tom Bombadil , if you haven't opened those bottles take them back to the hydrostore and swap them for an organic line up like Bio Bizz or Canna Bio for example. Which wil get you to harvest with no issues.

Wile your watching your first grow, then if your super serious about the organics I would study the build soil philosophy. Then maybe apply it to your second grow.

Were you doing soil in the solo or hydro?
Here is my current hydro solo with the AN ph perfect trio. Literally mixing up the recipe and not checking ph. Bigger than a 5g plant. Drinking a liter every 1.5 days now

I was in a coco/perlite mix, so similar to hydro. As I recall, at least five fertigations per day with runoff. The mix was always off in pH with the water I was using at the EC level I used. No biggie as long as I dealt with it, but, to me, paying the cost of this stuff is not justified absent pH control. To make matters worse, the buffer system in the mix that normally controls the pH seemed to make adjusting it more difficult. I'll use up the bit that I have left from the small jars that I bought, and will not be buying more.

I have moved on to Jack's 321 for my indoor grows now. Dramatically cheaper, and effective. All I need to do now is learn about the details.

Thanks for the reply man I appreciate it. I’m just gonna take those back and get something more suited for soil. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply. I think I’m just gonna go with something else and toss it. Sounds like more of a pain than i wanna deal with. Thanks again
