Mars Hydro FCE8000 + Super sativa seed club

It was def super accurate before! Hoping if I calibrate it in a few diff spots using Mars hydro par map for this light then should at least get me back in range to get reliable enough readings! Til I have $180 to spend on a par meter anyways!
Grow Green Michigan has the PhotoBio Quantum PAR meter for $147 + free shipping.

Nice thanks buddy and pretty sure that’s the 1 I had seen other people using so was gonna get for myself! If I wanted to be uber cheap I could order from Amazon and then use that meter to calibrate the Photone app…..then return the par meter to amazon and get refund! :eyebrows: :crying:

Compost tea day
Ok back at it with another update! All 4 girls are moving along quite well! The 2 older ones seems the benefits of the blumats are really showing! I’m glad I decided to update cuz kinda dawned on me was time to adjust my damn vpd! Still had it set for seedlings at .8 and at day 17 on the bigger ones it’s well past time to be at 1.0 for veg!

Got a 5gal compost tea brew that my local garden shop is gonna start selling so like usual with his newer products he gave me 1 to test pilot! Basically was just some pre activated compost and then black soldier fly castings you add in for last 6hrs! And the castings that are used for this insect frass sure is some nice fresh stuff! Not dry and crusty like the normal insect frass I have! :woohoo1:

Wish I had taken some before pics cuz only a few hours after applying that tea the ladies are def perked up and happy! The girls were looking a lil lighter green then I’d like possibly cuz I only used a light dose of craft blend when I amended soil cuz I intended to use nutes but since I didn’t order the bulkheads to be able to remove reservoir for cleaning I decided a topdress regimen with occasional hand watered feeds would be best for this round! Went ahead and added a dose of ful power fulvic acid, and soluble humic acid and soybean aminos for an added N boost plus the beneficial aminos! Glad I saved a small bit from that brew kit so I can make up a small 1gal batch in a couple weeks for the indoor plants!

Kelp foliar activate
Man I gotta stop forgetting to update this thread! Especially since the ladies are really moving! Started hitting them with a kelp/ fulvic foliar Saturday night and man have they exploded! Unfortunately the younger of the strawberry chemdawg I noticed is not really moving anymore cuz it has some crazy mutated growth going on! Not sure what happened but the other 3 will be big enough to more then make up for it!

Saturday night at 1st spray….

Operation Thunderbush = mission complete
This train is def movin full steam ahead! I can’t believe how much healthier these plants look and how ginormous they are on nothing but water! I almost always am seeing what looks like deficiency issues by this point and would always confuse me cuz good soil should t be depleted that quickly but in reality I am now 99.99999% positive it was nothing more then me having issues from being too heavy or too light with my hand watering! It’s like using earthboxes for over a year it’s almost like I completely forgot how much and how often I should be watering the ladies! Using these blumats takes away that guesswork and then once u get the drip flow dialed in they will make some monster trees!

Here’s strawberry chemdawg #1 (el mutante) :nono:

Can see up top has new normal growth but this pic shows the weird ass mutation it started to morph into! Glad I went ahead and left it and didn’t chop it right away! If it stretches any amount at all I’ll get a lil bit of bud or it’ll be all going into edibles! ;)

All 3 of the bigger plants look like this so here before I flip them on Thursday night I’m gonna go ahead and trim out all the old larger fan leafs and these lowest interior secondary branches so can get some airflow moving thru and so not wasting energy on lower branches that will be in the potential larf zone! Wanna let the plants focus on the branches that’ll be in prime location to be the best producers! Buds themselves don’t need no light but further away from the light the flower sites are located the smaller the buds always seem to get!

Not sure if it’s the light and not overpowering them this run or if it’s the fact the happy and getting proper water but 2 diff strains here yet with 0 training every 1 of the girls has basically grown itself into a flat even canopy! The taller black Lebanon the main stalk is a smidge above the lower side branches still but other BL and older strawberry chemdoggy them side branches have basically grown up to the same height as the main cola! Got 2 days left til I hit the 30 day point with younger BL and then I’ll flip em that evening! Still trying to debate if I wanna make sure the short carrots stop dripping so I can pull out the chain of drippers and then put down a layer of a bloom topdress and some fresh compost and castings or if I wanna just leave all that in place and just do a once a week topwatering using the knf regimen! I’ve had problems with it last couple runs but if I wasn’t watering correctly and the plant was having issues getting food due to it so coulda maybe grown some fire plants with it if I had my watering dialed in! If I do go ahead with the topdressing then not sure yet if I’m gonna use the last of the craft blend I have or if I wanna order some Dr Earth flower girl to give a try! If anybody that peeps this has used the Dr Earth let me know how it worked for you! :d5:

I have used Flower Girl for a few years, and it's top notch IMO. I swear by it and I'll use no other. I use it in conjunction with Worm Castings, Down to Earth Bat Guano, and Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth.

Bloom has begin
Well the girls officially got flipped to the 12/12 schedule Sat in the night so that it would start with Sunday being day 1 of bloom! Still haven’t managed to topdress them cuz nowhere around me had flower girl in stock so need to order off amazon I imagine! Did decide to do a weekly topwatering of the knf bloom regimen so I’ll stick with that til I have to climb into tent to do another airflow trim! I already chopped off enough fan leafs to stuff a gallon ziploc totally full where I could barely even close it and 2.5 days later u couldn’t even tell they had been touched! I also knew it was gonna stretch and didn’t wanna accidentally chop some potential producers so still need to also trim out the lil secondary branches that won’t be worth keeping around to steal food and energy!

Gonna get some more light brown sugar so I can ferment these into some canna leaf fpj! ;)

Think here in about a week or so I should have the 2 plants at front of tent tall enough that I can crawl thru the tunnel underneath the lower branches so I can accomplish my trimming and topdressing mission! I would just use some craft blend but I need to go get some compost cuz can’t just put 1 cup or powdered amendments on top of the soil or it’ll be a powdery mess! Gonna go get some oly mountain or some malibu compost I can put down over the food along with some insect frass and worm castings! Be a lil trifecta of topdress num nums for them to use as bloom fuel! Besides that it’s water only going thructhe reservoir AND THESE HUNGRY HEIFERS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO TAKE DOWN 3.5gal FROM MY 5gal RESERVOIR IN ONLY 24hrs! Had to bleed the air yesterday cuz I messed up twice not counting on how much they’d suck down and woke up to the reservoir empty so had to make sure no air in the lines so it didn’t cause a carrot to get froze open or something! I already messed up and 3 times now I got heavy handed and opened a carrot to far and came back next day to find my 20” plant tray totally filled to top and spilling over into tent floor making big ass puddles cuz I opened valve so far it totally flooded the bag! Finally realized once these things are initially setup u don’t need to adjust water but maybe once when they hit bloom and u def don’t open the valve a full notch (got arrows on the dial) and maybe only do 1/4 or 1/2 turn til u see how much it ups the water! Even a drip that’s constant can flood out a 10gal bag so gotta watch how much u adjust the flow! :d5:
