Hi folks.

Getting back in the game soon and I'd like to add a new light to the tent. Currently using 2 quantum boards. One is a 135w and the other 165w.

I want to maximise my 4x4 so my plan is to have the lights above on one side of the tent over 5 plants and the new light doing the same on the other side.

The two lights I'm looking at is the invisible sun ISH265 V3 Evo. It's a 240w light with I think the most current diodes but unsure if top bin or not and 2.94umol. I also get 10% discount and get a free uvab light. All in around £290

The second is the HLG 300l which is a 270w light, I think they are previous gen diodes but top bin and 2.6umols?. I'll hopefully get a 10% discount too bringing it to around £300.

What do you think I should buy? What would produce the better results? More watts or more umols?

Cheers

hello my brother how ya keeping also I'm absolutely crushing it in my 4x4 with 2 sanlight new evo series even the gen 2 kick arse and as you know I've been growing with them for close to 4 years now

Getting there mate. Thanks.

You have definitely been killing it with those.lights. I'm only looking to spend around £300 so they're a bit out my price range I think. Unless you know of a discount code?

How many watts are those lights you have?

@St. Tom That evo4 120 looks perfect.

Do you think you could put me in touch with your friends over at sanlight?

I don't have much to do with them soz bro besides what they did for me on here but sadly they haven't got a rep on here anymore but I can hand on heart tell you that I wouldn't recommend a product I've not used and been blown away with

No problem man. Your results speak for themselves.

It's in my thoughts now and will keep an eye on any 420 deals to try and get it down closer to £300.

Will hopefully get the seeds soaking and soil cooking in the next couple of weeks. These Sawneys Beans are screaming at me every time I open the fridge.

Of course, I'm going to recommend the Atreum Hydra 3200. It would fill out half of your 4x4 perfectly if I understand your goal correctly. Bars are 46" wide so very even light across the entire canopy. I think as is, they would be right around your price of 300. But Migro guy just did a YouTube review on them last week. I noticed in the comments section below the video, he was telling people if they wanted one, to contact him for 10% off the fixture. YMMV on that part.

I've been using their last generation lights for awhile now, and absolutely love them. Good and supportive company too. Good luck with whatever you might choose!

Yeah let me see....

Here it is. I saw he mentioned 10% discount on his a couple of his comment, but looks like he may have deleted that? If you look at all of the comments, he replies to every one of them contact him for "something special" though. So...YMMV.

Dude I can vouch for the hlgs. I run 2 300L's and they are absolutely banging... I'll give you an example... I had seedlings in the other side of the tent under a viparspectra 10 inches above the seedlings... Every day I had to turn the pots because even though they had a light 10 inches above them, they kept leaning over towards the hlgs which were right over the other side of the tent.

The plants knew where the good light was and headed towards it... Lights can look as bright as the sun but they don't necessarily give the plants what they want... My plants are always mean n green under the HLG's
