Dwc, root rot or something else?

Morning lads, i have a c99(photo) clone in a single dwc set up, apart from it taking a month and half to root amd going into flower while rooting (under 24/0) all was going well, untill tuesday when the leaves started to droop, i checkd ph it was 6.4 so i lowered to 5.8, still no change in the plant.

My set up is:
3500k led bridgelux strips
2.5liter dwc
Genral hydroponics nutes, 1/2 strength lucas formula
Temps 23-27'c
Water temp 14'c
Rh 40-55

The longest oldest roots are slightly brown, the newest roots are pure white

I am battling with root rot myself and yes the brown is root rot. Are you running hydroguard?

I saved mine by adding extra airstones for res and taping up air lines a foot back from inlet and a few inches inside buckets. Also took a plate and cut a slit to center then a hole to go around stalk. Then added double strength hydroguard and my roots are looking way better.

Light and heat is your enemy in dwc. Must not let the water get above 70 I believe and no light to roots.

No hydrogaurd, thats shits to expensive, im using h2o2, and as for light and heat im fairly sure theres no light reaching the roots unless its getting down past the clay balls and my temp is 14'c

Light will come in from air tubing. Wrap it with electrical tape.

H202 will evap after about 24hrs. So you will need to keep adding. Where hydroguard only gets added at res change.

Never thought about wraping the tube, i have black tubing on the way but ill wrap it while waiting and see how it goes

What is that bucket made of, looks flimsy as hell and looks like you cut the rim with scissors or something? I think light is getting through.

If it was me a would buy some decent thick food grade buckets and also you sound like you are in the UK so get some meteor pipe for your airline

What is that bucket made of, looks flimsy as hell and looks like you cut the rim with scissors or something? I think light is getting through.

If it was me a would buy some decent thick food grade buckets and also you sound like you are in the UK so get some meteor pipe for your airline

Im using 5liter water bottles for my res, their not to filmsy, i just finished a grow in them. I have lids on them that completely cover the top amd goes down over the sides.

Im using a Haleia 600lph pump split 3 ways. Your right about the water not being agitated, the pump had been turned down and there was a kink in the buckets airline, i fixed that the night i took the pic.

Hopefully now you've turned up the pump and unkinked the pipe that will sort your issues but for the sake of a fiver I would buy 2 of those 1 meter lengths of meteor pipe and 1 of these buckets.

Yes airline is unkinked and pump turned up. That bucket is way to big for my space, it currently messures 16"x20"x40", when my photo grow is finished in a few weeks ill be getting rid of the photo space and increasing the height. Im growing in a closet split in half vertically.
My res is 2.5liters, i can theoretically fit 9 of these 'buckets' in here and grow sog style. Last run was 3 of these 5liter buckets (my first dwc run), and 3 2liter hempy bottles.
