Hi @Tree_king Welcome to AFN. Your LST looks a bit more than Low Stress Training. The string around the plant looks constricting. As for the unintentional topping, the plant will survive that.
Thanks for the quick response! I removed the string...maybe I’ll just give her a gentle hands mostly off approach. Lol

So what would be constricting when you do LST? Maybe I’m a bit ambitious trying it on my first grow?

@Mañ'O'Green I have one other plant going right now. Maybe not the best pics...but does it look like I’m overdoing it on her too?

It looked like the string and wire were too tight around the stem choking the flow of nutrients? It is called girdling. What are you trying to accomplish with the training? I just top autos at the fourth node and let them grow. I do not defoliate much. Just for air flow underneath. I run cobs and their light penetration is very good into the canopy.

@Mañ'O'Green I was reading/watching vids on LST that said to try and bend the plant so that you get the light penetrating the lower nodes. They pretty much said to try and get the top parallel with the other nodes so that they fight for dominance. So I was bending as best I could, while trying not to go too far...oops lol Just trying to increase yield of course. Thinking I’ll just let them go from here and see how they do. Maybe just do a little defoliation as needed
