Mephisto Genetics Any rosin aficionados out there in Mephistoville?

Squished some more of what has suddenly become an all-time favourite Supernatural OG (Fantasmo Express X Ripley's OG)
3x5 inch plates and total press time was about 3 1/2 minutes at 210 F slowly increasing the pressure from ~3000psi up to ~7000psi
sweet peppermint candy with a hint of lemon -- insanely delicious and healing !!

Is that temp what your plates really are or what the controller is set at? What is your press?

I've never heard of ramping down pressure during the pressing. What does that do?

Nice looking rosin. Golden elixir.

Controller was set at 210 F I am not shooting the plates with a laser or anything like that to verify
I use 2.5 inch x 4.5 inch 160u bags for flowers I turn the bags inside out and hand stuff them about 2/3 full I cut off some of the end of the bag and fold and tuck the remaining mesh around itself to hold the material inside
I slowly increase the Pressure once the rosin starts flowing around 3000-4000psi to avoid blowouts and maximize yield... I have experienced plenty of blowouts going too hard and fast on the pressure and I really try to avoid them !! It's easy once you have the hang with this pump you can just feel when to increase the pressure and just slowly keep going until the rosin stops flowing / the bubbles stop blowing topping out somewhere around 7000-8000psi

some strains press out better around 180 F but I find that everything I have done so far has been between 180 F and 210 F it just depends on the strain and always a fun surprise !!

That's a nice press. It looks like they are using multiple heater cables and a thermocouple which means if it says 210F on the controller, that is what the plate are. I cheaped out on my press components on that front and did not get the thermocoupling. When me controller says its 300F, the plates are probably only 200F, so I have to use a thermometer. I find a food grade digital works better than the infrared on my plates.

And the shop press I use it measures in tons not PSI. So I have to calculate PSI.

All my parts came to about $500 for a 10 ton rosin press. its as basic as you can get, but its better than a curling iron.

nice nice man !! I'm sure that it gets the job done just fine

I have been very pleased with that thing I have

the company sells everything but the pump for $499

you have to get the pump 3rd party I found it for $80

That's a good price for a press like that. Just the plates and heaters and electronics could cost that much.

Read about the dab press you have there and have a quick question...I’m learning so forgive me ahead of time for silly question.

Is the manual jack that comes with the press not sufficient? Price they have online now is $449 this morning. I’m tempted!!

@Recycled I'd jump on it then man !! After that you just need the 10 Ton pump + gauge. Links are posted on the product webpage to several different pumps available online (they also sell the 10 Ton gauge and some connectors directly and have several instructional videos if you want to DIY etc..) but if you simply purchase the recommended Strongway 10 Ton pump + gauge (I purchased it for $80 online with free delivery) then you are DONE and you can start pressing

...turn it UP
