I haven't jumped into the realm of breeding for seeds so will have to wait till someone more qualified to answer

No...the pollen only affects that certain area. I used to do some selective breeding, where you pollinate a single plant with several sources of pollen, and make several different crosses from a single plant.(utilizing several sources of male pollen)
