Noticed something interesting while cleaning out one of my tanks.. Yesterday I drained most of the water and sheared off the roots. This leaves a little chunk of root mass still in the "cage" as part of the upper part of the plant. I know there were no stray roots under that remaining chunk. I was hanging it over the tank to drip dry a bit before cleaning it out the rest of the way. Easily three inches of clearance between the plant and the surface of the water. Tonight there is a fresh root that made it down to what solution is left in the bottom of the tank, and the teeny growth that remains at the base of the plant is still growing.

This thing just won't die!

@bushmasterar15 @Mike20132 - Actually the paypal BS worked out. Got on the phone and they unfroze my funds. Also talked with the buyer and he was stunned that they froze my account, as it had nothing to do with the sale or me. Somehow a second payment was issued, but not to me. As the tracking number is valid and shows as delivered i am covered by the seller protection. It "should" be a smooth dispute in my favor.(i mean they released my funds already, admitting that this has nothing to do with me)
Quite a relief!!
That is some good news and relief to you.

@hairyman , as a man of science I feel compelled to collect more data. I think the logical next step is to increase the sample size and see if the results are consistent.

Whoever said science wasn't fun wasn't doing it right..

Ok got baked chicken almost done, rice made and roasting some asparagus from the garden. Then to just steam up some broccoli and dinner will be served.
There is nothing, and I mean *nothing*, like eating food borne of your own garden. I am envious, friend.

Made a promise to myself that I would start growing some culinary herbs and veggies this season. The more that I think about it, the more I want to set up something hydroponic outside. Would be a great way to grow and work on designs for the more fun stuff I am growing indoors.

Might be too pricey to do this year, but I am going to at least research it. Either way, I'll certainly annoy everyone with pics of my basil...
