This is the best and safest way to do it

Old pc PSU.......loads of 12 V rails

cheap molex to fan header adapter.............about 4 quid

up to 6 fans................thats just off one rail............i could run upto 36 fans off an old psu

you have to add a switch to the psu or it wont turn on..........i can link you how to do it...........only a bit scary to do
