I have 2 seeds that just sprouted after germination. I always knock the seed off early to save the girls the hassle. While removing one of the seeds, tiny white maggot looking things started crawling out of the seed on to my girl  They seem to have dissipated but should I have cause for concern?

Dude, those are aliens and you need to call the Ghostbusters, yes the Ghostbusters. :crying:

Ok sorry sorry, I am apparently just in a joking mood today:D In all seriousness, I don't know what those are and have never heard of that, but am intrigued as to what they are. Sorry about it though, if they're gone I probably wouldn't worry about it personally.

Havent heard of that either. Guess the only concern would be is if the moved to the soil and eat roots. Weird for sure

Thats a first, how many did you see?Iwould scratch lightly around the soil and see if there are anymore. If not keep watching closely and hope ther arn't any more.

Rough estimate maybe 50 they were small but I was using a magnify glass.

50?! Damn! I wonder what they were.

Found info on white worms, which are supposed to be harmless, or fungus gnat larva, which are supposed to have a tiny black head. Can you load a pic if you find more?

Yeah I'll upload a pic if I see more I can't seem to find one as of now.

How tiny? If they're really "worms" I'm guessing fungus nat larva. If they're tiny tiny and jump when you blow on them ever so slightly they're springtails and completely harmless, some would argue beneficial. Either way you're not in deep shit, but don't take my word for it, post a picture of them!

These are springtails, they're so teeny tiny it's hard to see the legs or anything distinctive without magnification of some kind.

And these are fungus gnat larva. The second picture is the adult form, they usually get everywhere and are noticeable.

Hope that helps!
