Hello everyone. :bighug::toke:
I am working my ways towards starting my first autopot run and was wondering what you guys thought I should run. I just finished ordering some Sour Crinkle and some Gold Glue from Mephisto. I placed the order and am just waiting for the reply to make payment, so I think I have those 2 strains. Of those 2, which would you run first?

My setup will be a 39" x 39" tent from mars, a 300 watt led light (Cree cobs), a 4 pot autopot system with the 15l pots and a 4" vortex exhaust fan. The soil is stuff I make following Clackamas coots recipe. It is a water only mix with an act added at start and half way through. I use worm castings and thermal compost with kelp meal and molasses to brew the tea.

I have been working on putting this together for a while. I grew outdoors last year and ended up pretty well set for meds, so it is allowing me to make the switch slowly. I currently have 3 plants in the tent now. 2 are at 6 weeks and one is at 4, so It might be a month or so before this starts. (my avatar is one of my outdoor plants last year)

This is a seed I got given to me called Skunk IMG_0245.JPG , and this is a clone I got given to me labeled Green Queen IMG_0247.JPG . Just waiting on them to finish. The 3rd plant is a clone Lemon Haze, but I don't have a recent pic of her. I might grab one tonight if I get a chance. I wish I would have taken a cutting of the Queen as I read after starting to flower that she is an Oregon clone- no seeds. She really smells off the hook. She smells a lot like the original bg c99.

When I ordered the beans today I looked for plants he labeled as small/ medium. I am hoping I wont run into a lot of issues trying to fit 4 in my tent. You all have a lot more experience with these pots and genetics, so what do you think? Will 4 of Mephisto smaller plants fit into a 1m square tent?

With proper training you can make almost any strain fit. It is more about knowing what to expect, anticipating their growth, and training as needed. You didn't mention how tall your tent is, this could make a difference also. If you have the height let the four girls grow upwards, which will reduce how much they bush out. Or top them and then control them with LST, maybe even consider making a scrog and contolling their growth that way.

My tent is 36x36x66 so I won't try four in the 15 liter pots. I do have four of the 8 liter Autopots and will be trying a scrog of four Pineapple Kush photo seeds I have on my next grow using the 1Pot trays with the smaller pots.

I thought about a scrog but the tent is in a bad spot for side access. Is topping ok with autos? I thought I had read they could get stunted or something. Is it just transplanting that should be avoided?

The tent is 70" tall.

Topping works fine as long as you do it early enough. Top at the third, fourth, or fifth node, after that it can get iffy. Check out some the @autobeast journals. This one goes into details about topping autos. https://www.autoflower.org/threads/auto-topping-thread-pushing-the-auto-limits.57281/

Be sure to put up a journal when start your grow, as most of us will be glad to drop by and watch you knock it out of the park and give lots of unwanted advice. :smoking: It also a great way to keep notes & pics on every thing involved in your grow. I find myself referring to my past journals to see how I can improve the next grow. Good luck with your grow.

I'm still working towards getting this all set for next month. I hope to be able to drop the new beans in the first week of Aug.

I decided to make up new soil. The last stuff was what I used outdoors last year and it seems to be having some lockout issues. I did feed pretty heavy with teas and I might have over done it with the kelp. Too much K I think for the coco mix I had. So I turned this
rock.JPG fish.JPG into soil.JPG . It should have 6 weeks to do its thing and be ready. I also had to make a base for my tent. The room it is in is an old loft and the floor isn't level. I didn't want any issues with the autopots not being level so IMG_0283.JPG .
I did manage to get a couple of pics this morning. These are at day 50 today.
