The cannabinoids are in the trichomes. So...the way I understand it, is more trichs =more cannabinoids. What those cannabinoids are depends on genetics (thc %, cbd %, terps etc.)

Taste mainly. Leaves taste like arse, and have very low cannabinoid content compared to flower anatomy. I cook with trim, and it's like zanex for me.

What do you think is a decent inline duct fan w/speed control and carbon filter that won't break the bank. This will be for a 4x4x7ft tent.

I smoke my trim. Or eat it. Smoke via hash. Bubble. So yeah. Waste not want not on those trichomes

Sorry... For a 4x4 tent you might be able to get away with a 4inch fan but you may want to go 6 to be safe. I know this isnt a specific example but anything would probably work just make sure it has enough cfm.

What I do. I trim buds wet. I'll hash my fresh trim out. I trim directly into ice water. Hang my buds. Mix my trim in the bubble bucket. Screen it out 2x.
Keep my better grade hash.
I take a good bit of that green bubble water. The beat up trim and the garbage hash. And I use that water trim and low grade hash to make butter.
I think I manage to get most my trichs and good stuff.
