Im going to list the different ways "I have heard of" to tell when to harvest. Help me out here guys. If I am missing anything or just something is wrong let me know and I will come back and fix/edit. Any other ways that you have used I would love to hear about and with your permission I would like to add to the list. Trying to share some knowledge and hopefully help some people out.

Trichs(usually need some sort of magnifying glass)
look at the trichs. they will turn from white, to milky white, to an amber color. harvest between 20%-50% amber 20% being a lighter taste with more of a head high and 50% being more of a body "couch lock" high

I think it is done(haha my favorite)
if it looks like its done wait one more week.

Leaves
harvest after most of the fan leaves have died and leaves on the buds start to turn yellow.

Bend the side stems(the stems connected to fan leaves not the nodes where the herb is)
they should be flexible. when they snap its time to harvest.

PLEASE JUMP IN AT ANY TIME AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK, IF I MISSED ANYTHING, ADD SOME WISDOM/EXPERIENCE. IM NOT CLAIMING TO BE AN EXPERT I JUST KNOW THERE ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH THIS QUESTION AND I DIDNT SEE A THREAD DEVOTED TO THIS.

:peace:Happy Harvesting:peace:

Thats my choice, best way IMO.

I think you've got it all about covered. I use the leaf method myself.

There is a point where the trichs literally glisten back at ya regardless from which angle you look at them, then another couple of days for good measure & then it's lights off for 3 days to squeeze the last "umph" out of 'em :pop:

That's Fucked Up man and sucks you have to worry about dumb fucks like that. Let them get caught robbing the wrong person and there will be a few less thieves around. Or shoot there ass with bird shot so they got to go to the ER and get them all picked out and explain why they got an ass full of bird shot.

Can you say more about the 3 days of lights out? What's the theory behind that?

if you're getting yellowing leaves wthin the first 7 weeks - it's probably a deficiency/problem. If it's getting close to harvest time, then it's a good indicator to start sharpening up those trimming shears.
Im having this problem close to harvest time . Should i cut all the leaf that have tuners yellow? I Had a lockout problem with i corrected too late . Now I'm freaking out ! Thanks
