Grow Mediums Trial of Firsts

They look good bro. That canopy looks like it will give you a nice harvest.
The Sweet T doesn't think you fed too much and look as happy as can be. Running new strains always has a curve for me, so I usually don't stress the 1st run.
It looks like about 70+ nice colas starting to fill in with lots of fattening up time.
How long do those run 12/12?

Thanks @Penrey and @Nowitzki44

60-63 days is what the literature says at Barney's Farm so still looking at 4+ weeks!!

Thanks again for taking a look and for the kind assessments!! Very much appreciated.

Those plants look amazing. First thing I thought was, "boy that's FLAT". I wish my canopy management was that good. I tried 1x2 metal screen for one round, but I kept scratching my arms . Should have gone coated and a larger hole like you. I'll be along for the ride.

Thanks very much. Truth be known, and I really don't know, I tucked one week too long. I have quite a few sites that are buried and I don't suspect the tops showing are going to get much taller therefore, I think I tucked once to many times.

Overall I am happy with it being my first try at scrog and not knowing the genetics of these strains. When I grow these strains again I should do a tad better job. I have three plants in flower outdoors as an insurance policy!!! Thanks again @lowgrowshow appreciate your comments and interest.

September 8, 2017 Update of 8 Ball Kush and Sweet Tooth SCROG
111 Days from sprout
51Days Veg Growth
86 Days on Autopot Feedings at full strength
58 Days under the scrog
42 Days under 12/12 Lighting
As posted earlier, the 8 Ball took a hit I suspect from nute overload (I tried to push the kool bloom powder and clearly the 8 Ball was more sensitive than the Sweet Tooth. Ah well, they are both still with us so we carry on. (I wouldn’t be so good with it if I didn’t have three plants in flower outdoors.)

At this time I am not sure the 8 Ball is even still alive. It is barely drinking and has but just a few leaves left with any green tinge, the rest yellowed and drying up.

Can a plant continue to ripen in this state??

I have both plants on 0/0/9 (G/M/B) with 1g/gal of epsom salts, with pH 5.8 and ppm's running 620ppm
Plan to switch the 8 Ball to pH water only today but trichomes are all clear and still has some straight white pistils.
What say you!!

The Sweet Tooth is going to finish later and hopefully fatten up more than it is.

8 Ball (RIP)

Lol, course it's still alive bro, you on for some fatties regardless.

:slap:

Chill on the nutes next time though as less is more I find.

Thanks Brother, your words are encouraging and thanks for the slap @Sensi Jay !!!

Also, my next grow I am going to grow auto's and follow (roughly) Han's nute regimen

Look at all those bud sites.you have done a great job with scrogging

Can I ask what scrog met you used.
I see you have built the frame. I need to do one too as I am growing Dutch passion auto extreme and they reach 1.5m and my light from top of pots is 1m

Having never scrogged, I searched this forum for auto pot scrog and found this.

Thanks

Hey thanks for the visit and for the kind words.

If not, it's plastic coated metal fencing with a 2inch by 3 inch openings
I used 4"x4" posts cut into 28" lengths (more stable using the 4" posts)
Fence attached with fence staples (U shaped)
In rear of tent I used plastic "zip ties" to attach the posts to the tent poles.
In front I screwed two cross braces (1"x2") to the 4" posts to keep them more stable.

Thanks for the detailed info.
Good luck with the rest of your grow, I willl follow

Alrighty then, the Sweet Tooth Plant has been harvested. I really thought she would go another week but with all my attention on her injured cousin, I failed to note she was ripe. Posted some bud picks on another forum this morning and consensus was she needed to come down. Trich's were 20-30% amber with 70-90% of pistils brown/retracted.
More details to follow, I'm tired. Had to cut the screen out of the tent (down the center) as the 8 Ball has a few more days.
