Mars Hydro Mars Hydro SP3000 Grow/Review by The Mugwamp

Thank you for the kind words mate :pighug: but I don't know about that, I consistently don't have a clue how they will turn out :crying: and I have to say, photoperiods are a lot harder to grow than Auto's are  Auto's you can just top and pretty much leave them to it and most of the time you get a nice even canopy, but with photos it doesn't seem to work that way, plus they can stretch a hell of a lot more, like my Black Lebanon, the light is as high as it will go at 5ft and at the moment she's 2in away from it :yoinks: the weed is much better though, none of the airy buds and it always seems stronger. Are you still going to try a Photoperiod grow soon? Looking forward to seeing it when you do  have a good weekend anyway mate :pass:
yes mate the photos will be my next run I just fancy a change bro

Sp 3000, Week 10
Mars Hydro SP 3000
Week 10
As you can see we're fully into flower and as usual with my grows, some plants are looking better than others  really happy with the Black Lebanon (apart from the fact she's just over 5½ft in places) she is going to be big yield if all goes to plan. The other two photo girls are looking ok, not great, but should produce some kick arse weed if the frost is anything to go by :woohoo1:

The two SSSC - Sweet Bourbon Kush Auto's are almost ready for the chop :woohoo: the taller one has been in a dark tent for the last 24hrs and she'll be getting hung, drawn and quartered either tomorrow or the day after :toke: the shorter one is going to be a few more days at least.

SP3000 Week 12
Mars Hydro SP 3000
Week 7 of Flower
The two SSSC Sweet Bourbon Kush Auto girls are finished and jarred :woohoo1: dry weight for the taller one was 51.74g and 53.5g for the shorter one, so not too bad at all :yay:

Photo girls are going to be a few weeks yet, the SSSC Black Lebanon has pretty much taken over the bloody tent :crying: the other two (Strawberry Cookies and Mac1) are so so frosty :nono: not going to be a big yield off them though, as with the Lebanon being so big, they are pretty much stuffed in the corners, so they're not getting any room to spread out

SP3000 Grow
Day 106
Finished
I haven't updated this thread as often as I'd of liked, but life got the better of me for a while.
Anyway, the three photoperiod girls are now done, the last one I finished taking down today :woohoo:
First to come down was the SSSC Strawberry Cookies
Not a huge yield, but man she is so frosty :woohoo1:

Next was the Discreet Seeds Mac #1
I haven't got many pics of her, but she was another smallish yield, 3 or 4 oz at the most, but nice chunky colas :yay:

And last, but definitely not least. The SSSC Black Lebanon :clapper: she has to be the biggest yielding plant I've ever grown. She took up the majority of the tent, which probably didn't help the other two, but she has more than made up for it :frog: thankfully.

So once more I have to say a massive thank you to @Marshydro :thanks: yet again your lighting has done you and myself proud :clapper: and I'd recommend the SP3000 to anyone, a fantastic light and in the right hands, someone who knows what they are doing, could do great things with one.
This is my 3rd year of growing my own and man, I still have a lot to learn :crying: but we're getting there, slowly
So till the next time, have fun and grow em big :pass:

Yeah mate no arguments there, I find the buggers much harder to grow than Auto's :crying: but the weed is always so much better. No airy bud like you can get with Autoflowers and frosty as a mofo, they just need a lot more work to get a nice even canopy. I might try and let the next lot grow naturally, not top them for a change. I've always topped my plants so it would be interesting to see if there's much difference yield wise. I know I'll probably run out of height, but hey I'll give it a go :toke:

2nd Mars Hydro SP3000 Grow Underway
Grow 2 With The SP3000
Week 1 -3

This grow will be all Feminised Photoperiod strains again. First SP3000 photo grow wasn't the greatest, although I still yielded around 13oz for the 3 photo plants :yay:(but that was mainly down to the Black Lebanon, she was around 9 ½ oz on it's own) Plus around 5½oz for the 4 Solo Cups. So not that bad, in fact it was better than usual
But for a change, I'm going to try and leave these to grow naturally this time and not top them :yoinks: I've only ever let my small Solo Cup girls grow like that before and they turned out quite nice. So we'll see how these turn out.
I still have a couple of inches of Megacrop left in the bag which should last another week or two, it's all sticking together, but it it should be ok, I hope anyway :crying: and when that has gone I'm going to have to go back to the GHE Flora Trio, as there is no Megacrop that I can find for sale in the UK :cuss: not unless you want a full or half pallet :wall: oh well, it was good while it lasted.
Strains
This time I have 6 plants,
2 x Seedstockers Strains - Pineapple and Runtz.
2 x Super Sativa Seed Club strains - Lava Freeze and in a Solo Cup - Super Mad Sky Floater.
And finally I have
2 x Ace Seeds - Bangi Haze, one in a 2ltr Bottle and the other in a 12ltr Fabric Pot like the rest. They are both a week behind the other girls

Mars SP3000 Grow 2, Week 3
Mars Hydro SP3000
Week 3
So far everyone is looking happy and healthy :cooldance: I'm am getting slightly anxious though :yoinks: and hoping I've made the right choice in not topping them. I've always topped my plants (apart from a few little solo cups I let grow naturally) so it's going to be interesting to see what happens with these. Well, onwards and upwards :pass:

All going well so far :cooldance: I was contemplating topping the Bangi Haze in the 2ltr bottle, but then, I noticed she has started putting out 3 leaves on each node now :yoinks:

Never had one do that before, but hey, the more the merrier
As for the rest, they all are looking happy for now. I'm going to give them another couple of days or so, then I'll switch them to a 12/12 cycle
