Heavyweight - Strawberry Cake & Jackpot - Day 7

Actually, I'm not sure what day it is, because I wasn't home when most of them popped up.
But I figure that it should be about day 7, as that is right for the oldest.
The Strawberries came up first, so day 7 is about right.
But the Jackpots came up later, and are obviously smaller, but still calling them day 7.

Strawberry Cake (Photo)

Shooting 4 from 4 here, they are all up!
One is obviously a bit smaller, but the larger two are now just putting out their 2nd set of true leaves.

Two pots, one is 1.0 L, the other is 0.8 L.

Jackpot (Auto)

Shooting 3 from 4 here, just one didn't show.
I'm glad, because when I left the house a week ago, they had only cracked, and none popped yet.
They are smaller than the Strawberries, probably about day 4 or so.
But to keep things easy, I'm calling them all day 7.

Two pots, one is 1.0 L, the other is 0.8 L.

So, as for the discussion about germination for these Heavyweight seeds.
My method is running at 87.5%, namely 7 out of 8, total.
That is: soak in water plus a bit of H2O2 for 24 hrs.
Then straight into ordinary potting mix + perlite.
Ignore for 7 days, and see what happens...

Tomorrow I'll be out of the house again for almost a week.
Will make sure they are well watered before going.
Nobody will be at home this time.
But the weather will be hotter this coming week.
There is not much air circulation, so will aim at open window.
Just hope things manage okay.
They may get an unplanned wet and dry cycle...

Back home. They're all good.
Larger Strawberries on their third set of leaves, at about 10cm.
Smaller Strawberries and Jackpots on second set, at about 8cm.
One of the Jackpots has lean... but otherwise fine.
Photos later. Prob tomorrow.

:D

Looks like a good start, @Maria Sanchez ! :smoking:

I will follow this :vibes::gary:

Yes, it's a nice start!!
I'm just going to veg for a few weeks indoors under this cheap little LED.
Then, off they go outside into the wilds for guerilla grow!

I already have a few ladies outdoors, my first winter grow, in the sub-tropics.
I hope to check on those ladies in the next day or two.

Heavyweight Jackpot Auto and Strawberry Cake Photo - Day 14 (or less)

As mentioned above, I was out of town for 6 days.
But when I got back all was fine. The temps were up to the 20s C during that time.
But not much air flow in the area, the stems are a bit weak.

The family:

4 X Strawberry Cakes are the two on the left, top and bottom.
3 X Jackpots are the two on the right, top and bottom.

Jackpot Auto (about day 10 at a guess)

Top left plant has a weaker stem, was lying on the side of the pot last night.
I've propped her up with a chopstick and wire tag.
They're all about 8cm = 3" tall.

These are all looking very good.
The stems are straight up, and have a LOT of fine hairs on them.

The two larger Strawberry Cakes from the side.
These larger two are about 10cm = 4" tall.
The smaller two are about 8cm = 3" tall.

Under the cheap COB:

Under this rack are my hydro veges and herbs ---
Kale, red lettuce and rocket, and thai basil, marjoram.
That's why they are not directly in the middle.
Best to move them around to get light from all sides.
