Trimmed off a couple of leaves, very little.
I don't like the idea of big defoliation.
Leaves are the photosynthesis machines.
To maximize light, need to keep a full green canopy, no holes.

As you pull leaves though new ones are pushed out early and replace the ones you took. I was surprised at the results when i did full branch versus branch comparison on outdoor plants.

ust hope the calyxes swell real big,

Your plants look lovely but i am still very disapointed that the lettuce saga is still dragging on.

the calyx swell lovely on Sweet Skunk.............this was a preflower on a stem..........its exploded

Did some more light defoliation, on the Jackpots.
Plus put the gentle LST on the smaller Jackpot.
So now they are more opened out.
Her bud structure is going to be very nice!!
Slowest of the autos, but that pot will prob be biggest yield.

Topped the Charlotte's Angel again.
5th node at each of the four main branches after first top.

Thinking about what to do with the Sweet Pure.
She's a single thick stem pole with chunky 9 blade leaves.
But, she's getting far taller than the rest of them.
(Except the Angel.)
Think I'll LST pull from one side,
then super-crop her over in the opposite direction.
But not yet.
Don't want to top or FIM her, because so little branching.
But I may cut down a few of her top leaves to open the branching, too.

These two pure CBD photo strains are so different.
Sweet Seeds say the Sweet Pure is mostly sativa.
This pheno looks very dominant indica to me.
Last plant I had like this was a Sensi Afghani cut, from the 90s.
She'd be perfect for Sog.

Maria's Marvelous Micro Medical Marijuana Madness - Day 42

Testing out a new camera app that has macro.
It's pretty good. So rather than photos of whole plants, just some bud (or leaf) shots this week.
Can really see the differences in the plants as they go into flower.

The Photos:

Sweet Pure CBD
sp.jpg

Literally just one primordia calyx, two pistils.
She's taking her time, but I think it'll be worth it!
Tall at 14" = 35cm.

Charlotte's Angel CBD
ca.jpg

Not even a pistil on this girl. Late developer. But tall at 16" = 40cm or so.

Strawberry Cake
sc.jpg

At least one of the photos is flowering, and quite nicely, too.
Can see she still has just an inch or two in height to put on.

The Autos:

Industrial Plant CBD Auto
ip.jpg

The pistils are a blaze of white fuzz!
She's very similar to the Honey Peach, just slightly less stretch / length to her.

Honey Peach CBD Auto
hp.jpg

Another blaze of white pistils as those flowers pop!
Just a bit longer in the colas than the Industrial, but very similar.

Jackpot Auto
jp.jpg

Def the slowest of the autos, but look at that structure building up!
Will definitely be the heaviest auto pot yield, just not sure how long she'll take.
Is supposed to be heavy indica for a Jack Herer type (Jack Herer Auto X Fast and Vast).

Sweet Skunk Auto
ss.jpg

Yes, my sticky little sweet skunky lady!
The only one really putting out crystal, and lots of it.
Buds are pretty small, just four little tops.
Hoping that the calyx growth will run on for a while yet.
Lots of calyxes building, and none turned red (yet).
Will def be the first harvest, that I'm looking forward to!

Otherwise all good. The space under the lights is crowded, as I want.
Re-position them a couple of times a day.
Lots of leaf tucking, too, tweaking the LST strings, get the best light.
A few of the older leaves are a bit tired.
Slightly yellowing on the Charlotte and ... another one, maybe Strawberry.
Looks like my soil mix is keeping a nice environment for the roots.

Oh, and gave them a feed with the 1100 ppm 5-11-26 today.
That has no Ca/Mg, but there should be plenty in the soil mix anyway.
Hopefully this will give them a big P and K burst, prob need more P though...
Which may also push the Sweet Pure and Charlotte's Angel to flower. I hope...

Love and hugs,
MJS

These are great pics. The macro is working great. Of course it helps if you have a steady hand :)

The macros will allow you to see more of the details. I take the close ups as the pics show me things I can not see with the naked eye. These pics are GREAT.
