Nope they got to be cooked the way through and slightly crispy of the edges for me

Everyone to their own..... ...hubbys mother used to do Twice Dead Carrots......hubbys description...

she boiled them..until they were dead...then she beat hell out of them..mashing...to make sure they were Really dead.....
