Outdoor 6 x Mandala Safari Mix (Photo, Reg)

Last night I did the re-potting into 1L = 0.3 gal pots.
I used some of my coco block, adding my nice rich black potting mix, a dash of perlite and vermiculite.
I first put a few inches of this at the bottom of the new pots, then 1 g or so of mycco, right where the roots will touch.

They came nicely out of the original small pots, and I was impressed with the root growth, especially on the larger ones.
Some really nice roots there, and made me realize that they really did need bigger pots, and shouldn't wait!!

Sorry for photo quality, trying to hold upside down plant and root ball in one hand, operate my phone camera with the other with a dirty hand!!

They looked nice in their new pots:

Then gave them all a nice deep drink with the Sensi Bloom Coco A+B and CaliMagic, all at 1/4 strength.
Hopefully that'll give them enough space and nutes for a while.
Then put them back in the tent after a 1/8 strength foliar wash. I like to foliar wash after transplanting, while their roots re-adjust.

All that was last night. This morning they looked fantastic!!! Not yet two weeks old, they're rocking hard!

Hope to give them at least another week before going outside. Maybe 21 days = 3 weeks total, putting out some 7-pointer or maybe even 9-pointer leaves at that time.

Love and hugs,
MJS

Day 14 - Mandala Safari Mix

Happy under the Mars sun.

Individual passport shots:

This one (above) has gone straight from 1-, 3- then 7-pointer leaves.
Short, squat, chunky looking, with some lateral growth early on.
Def some kind of indica pheno.

They haven't slowed down at all after the transplant.
May get away with 3 wks veg, and then straight out.
Not looking for huge plants, just discrete ladies, that can do 1 oz+.

The weather has been nice, fairly sunny, not too hot.
If this keeps up, it's really very good for outdoor growing!
Feels so good to not have to grow in monsoon season this time........

Just looked back at my last grow, comparing with the photo Northern Lights.
No comparison. These Mandala Safaris are looking much, much stronger.
It's going to be a good grow, I can feel it coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 10 - Mandala Safari Mix

These five little babies are doing very nicely.

The biggest 2 or 3 are about 15cm = 6" wide on the first set of leaves..
Can't see any particular leaf phenotypes at this point, they are fairly similar, maybe just a little wider or narrower.

Will need to re-pot fairly soon I think, as their roots must be touching the bottom already, though they won't be root-bound yet.

really looking good! if i had a D15 like that I'd throw a party!

Thanks @trailanimal -- hope it's warming up in your part of the woods.
I'm quite happy with their growth at this point, too.
Haven't done anything special, mainly genetics I'm thinking.

Day 17 - Mandala Safari Mix

The family:

Individual plants:
Thought I'd try some different angles to show the lateral growth situation, but still not that clear.
20170329 Mandala Safari Mix (5).jpg

This is the smallest one, but she is not stunted at all, just slow to pop up.

20170329 Mandala Safari Mix (4).jpg

This one is shooting some nice little lateral branches.

20170329 Mandala Safari Mix (3).jpg

This is the chunky indica looking pheno. Has some branches, but too dense to see them!

20170329 Mandala Safari Mix (2).jpg

Not so much branching here, mainly straight up.

20170329 Mandala Safari Mix (1).jpg

This one is not as compact, a little light getting through to the laterals.

They are not tall at all, maybe 10cm = 4" to about 12.5cm = 5" only.
But they are on node 4 or 5, and all putting out 7-pointer or more leaves.

Lush and beautiful!!!

Day 18 - Mandala Safari Mix

Keeping up with daily journal is getting harder with three grow threads:
1. Early Top Tao,
2. Mandala Safari,
and today just started
3. Auto Grow
<http://www.autoflower.org/threads/m...l-fb-green-crack-g14-c-4-dp-automazar.58843/>.
Nonetheless, here's today's update from the Mandala babies:

Individual Shots:
20170330 Mandala Safari Mix (8).jpg

This is the littlest only because she's a day or two slower out of the ground.
Slimmer leaves, slightly taller, little branching so far.

20170330 Mandala Safari Mix (6).jpg

This one is a bit more branched. Last night leaves looked droopy, still kind of do today.
Thought maybe it's a pH thing, but now I just think that's her/his pheno.

20170330 Mandala Safari Mix (5).jpg

The short chunky indica looking one. The start of the leaves is crinkly, hehe.

20170330 Mandala Safari Mix (4).jpg

Solid and healthy.

20170330 Mandala Safari Mix (3).jpg

Also solid and healthy.

I then gave them all a nice 1/4 strength (~1mL / L) feed of CaliMagic and AN Sensi Bloom Coco A+B.
Just let them have a bit of runoff from that feed, nice soak. Will leave for a couple of days without adding.
I'm already finding that the soil+coco mix (about 50/50) means slightly better water retention than just soil.

I think that they're just about to hit that vegetative massive growth phase now.
They are all up to 7-pointer leaves, and I'm sure the inner new growth will be 9-pointer or more once they grow out.
Hope they can put on a couple more inches and sets of leaves before they go outside.

Really happy so far, all is going well!!

Love and hugs,
MJS
