Flushing: The Myth that won't Die

Are people worried about flavor ? is this why Flushing is a thing ?
Yes, that's the myth. I too feed right to the end, no complaints from anyone, plants, grower, smokers, mocca house patrons and patients ....no exploding joints too which is kinda disappointing on the entertainment side haha

Well I got two Autos. So i will flush one and leave the other unflush and make a comparison..

Flushed my last grow photo grow and the smoke is great and other like it, but its was my first grow [emoji3][emoji3]

If im not taking to big place i would like to show the two girls i was going to do the "taste" test with....

Im sure the buds will be great on both girls but as seen i cant do a fair test.
The girl under was given full feeding and with 5 days of water and got this look. IMO thats how a plant ready for harvest should look like. I will try photos my next grow and i will go with cuttings from the same mom so i will show you guys the difference of bud-size and say if there is any difference in taste.
I too like to know how the hell you get them so phatty!!

@pop22

Hey there. First off I just want to say that I really appreciate the information that you have brought to the forums as I have seen you give multiple tips and good info out for the community and it's amazing.

Second off, I am running a sog type passive hydro hempy 2liter grow. My plants are near the end of their grow cycle now..today is day 58 of flower and I was about to start flushing as both of my strains finish between 56-63 days(golden cobra and cookies and cream).

Going by your advice I should be feeding the nutes I have been feeding this whole time until I chop?

Since mid flower or before I've been feeding @ 1/2 strength Lucas formula along with 1ml of floralicious plus(800-850ppm)

I have 7 clones, 3 golden cobra and 4 cookies and cream. All of the cookies are similar in size and 2 of the Golden Cobra are same size. I'm thinking about doing a little experiment of giving just water to 2 cookies while feeding same regime to the other 2, and then flushing 2 golden corral to 1 not flushing.

I honestly would like to just keep feeding until cut but my head keeps saying I have to flush.

You have the perfect opportunity mate! Try both ways and see what YOU prefer. Simples

Not flushing has NO affect on flavor, I don't care what or who says it does! Unless you've sprayed in on the outside of the plant... Science will tell you the answers. Its the process of curing that improves flavor and taste buy breaking down sugar and chlorophyll. Nothing that goes into the plant can come back out. All flushing does is kill your plant early, and the last part of the plant to die is the bud, and that's where the remaining nutrients end up!

What you say

Will it be correct to say that those nutrients end up in the buds as building elements of the buds and not as "chemicals" floating around somehow between the buds?

Just like all the other nutes given during the grow :baked:

What if for obvious reasons you have a nute lockout? It happened to me on my first photo grow and had to flush the plant about 2 month early and still managed to get good buds with proper curing.
So you would only have to flush for that reason.
Correct me if I'm wrong

I have done this the last grows.
The only thing i have noticed is my ash's are dark now instead of light gray.
Anyone else notice this ?
Comments!!!!

I think that has to do with curing

Yes that can be valid, although success with that is a crapshoot. And nutrient lock out is most often a PH issue and flushing usually won't fix it.
