Initially their was a great deal of experimentation with humidity vs the lighting schedule, eventually selected a 20/4 cycle with the down time in the hotest hours of the day. unfortunately the humidity troubles didn't stop as record heatwaves hit (it was 28.c 70% rh outside the grow!) the need for air extraction became greater.


With the space being what it is (120x60 walk-in) it seamed a 4"EC Hydrofan by Hydrolab would fit nicely after some time running its become apparent that its a temporary solution as theirs no gas control available for this unit and its a touch louder than necessary when operating above 75%.

the initial weeks were held to the Bio Bizz All Mix schedule minus the cal mag and bio heaven.
the Auto White Widow hardly notice the missing mag-cal, However the Cheese XXL x Mandarina
began to display early signs of mag call around week 3, she was treated early enough and has since been holding it at bay with 1ml per L mag cal.


meanwhile the white widow has defied all expectations, starting with some small deformed leaves and rapidly blossoming into a galaxy of bud sites.
the original plan involved heavy training one while letting the other grow mostly uninhibited with some light defoliation the widow almost volunteered to be tied down with her light airy sativa structure
and sure enough she responded pretty nicely.

this whole plan holds well until week 5 when the cxxl x m takes a fall from the pruning table and accidentally ended up pruning herself

after much disappointment and a good and proper maiming she has recovered but alas one cola was beyond repair.


the widow really enjoyed all that bondage, she is a lot of fun, so responsive.

recently had the pleasure of visiting the same 2 varieties in another space i can see that the cxxl x m is quite leafy and shrub-like by nature and interestingly the white widow had the same deformity was present on the initial sets and again later leaves displayed no signs of any mutation, very much anticipating the smoke report on both of these as the seeds are absurdly cheep (only 2 euro) and quite hardy makes them perfect canaries to test and tune this small space setup.
