Started cloning, did 28 this round. A few weeks ago, did 20 clones , kept 8 and traded 12 for supplies and for another heaUhht mat and dome. Now ihave two cloning domes in should be able to do 40-60 every 2 weeks till June or I run out of space.
Cloning in peat pellets and cloning gel(rootech) , tap water & nutriplus START. Use heated mat 77f & 80-90 humidity in dome. I mist every day and after day 3 I add water to just fill bottom of tray ribs just barely touching peat pellets bottom so they get a bit of water but roots need to stick out of pellets to drink. Day 5 I start gently lifting clones and if starts to lift pellet I start looking for roots and get ready to plant, if clone feels loose I stop and wait (don't pull it out, just quick very delicate lift to see it started to root and lifts pellet.).

Had to top some of the mothers. I'm about 90% for regular cloning but I don't have good luck cloning tops and in past was lucky to get roots on 60-70 % of my tops. So decided to try a different method on the tops. Have been doing a "V" cut at growth nodes. The V cut being on both side of nodes(I think you call it node but where leafs spread out). And it worked so well I had root coming out of node above peat pellets and going back into pellet and out side.
Here is closer pic of root, I didn't know that was possible. I always thought rooting part had to be buried. I had dome really full so more that likely the light was blocked.
Also started using coco pellets, had no choice, alot of stores on lockdown. Was going to ask about cloning in coco pellets, should I go lower ph. I forgot and decided to go 6.2ph with coco. Clones didn't seem to care and got roots under 10days, so very happy.

I'm at 67 clones that are ready to plant and about 8 that are rough looking but should be ready by june 1st.
Had to go old school equipment and use my old cloning box.
Also ran out of room in tent until my auto flowers are done. The auto s should be done by end of week. But in meantime it's squeezing them in cloning tent.
The clones don't like the strong lights yet anyway so weak light is good enough. I'll clone to end of May start of june and go straight outside with that batch, find sun is still weak enough they like it.
