Life in a pot.

I thought I'd say something about this, because I know at least I spent A LOT of time trying to learn as much as I could about this and I was really nervous about it for a while.

And mind you I grew up on a farm.

Its just that there's so much bullshit out there spread by fertilizer companies and other people who make money in selling these products.

My dad grows with chicken pellets and a PK booster. Now, he grows outdoors and plants outside always have access to more nutrients from their access to a humongous planet full of soil compared to the poor little guy you have in a tiny wardrobe in a little pot of soil or whatever you grow in.

So these guys are very limited. They cant just send out a root until they find iron. They only have this pot.

So that's why I have to add more precisely than take a dump in the pots after harvest.

Don't do that. Or do it. I'm not your mom.

Don't read this. I'm no scientist. I'm a stoner.

I put the seed directly in a coco-pod soaked in water, and then I put that pod in a pot filled with soil.

My soil is a mixture of different local organic soils at this point mixed with perlite and some vermiculite and leca balls. Also this turn I've added some bone meal, like a teaspoon to 10 kg of soil. I used to rinse it between uses but now I put it in a plastic bag in a closet for a couple of weeks. I stir and turn it around occasionally. When I use it again I fill up the bottom part of the pot with it and use fresh organic planting soil with perlite for the top part. Maybe 30% perlite.

If you read my other blog posts you'd know why the leca balls are in there.

And now I will stop saying organic because it says that on all my stuff. Now we know.

We have VERY soft water. I lived in another place before with pristinely perfect water so I'm crash coursing pH knowledge now.

Anyhow. I use the Biobizz stack o' nutes. I just bought a try pack and had good results so I stuck to it. Before I grew hydro with first the GHE tripart and then the Canna equivalent.

Then I've some different mineral nutes before I started enjoying smoking weed more and not just getting high.

I do this for Autoflowers in soil. I give double the cal-mag at the moment.

Stop reading this! I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Their "Grow" is just like any other. It's just that they put their carbs in it. Skip this and get "Fish Mix" instead. The company says you should run Grow in bloom and lay of Lil Missy Phishpants but no. Never. They also say it's not recommended for indoor use. But they don't understand how good this is. Sorry. I get carried away.

I cut out a few weeks for my super fast strains. I start giving flowering nutes from week 3 and ramp up slowly to week 8 instead.

Every other feeding I just give water with 1ml/litre of Cal-Mag and 1ml/litre of Alg-A-Mic.

What is Alg-A-Mic? It functions from what I can tell like a mix of kelp and silica. It seems to have hormones to help the plant get over obstacles in its lifecycle. A bit like handing someone a joint. A temporary strength boost to get past something like an over feeding or just life sucks in general. It is also food for your microbes.

I have no idea what root juice is. I use it because I happen to have a bottle. I can't tell no difference.

As I recycle my soil I will have to add more and more stuff until the soil is more or less dead. Then I'll get rid of it and either go back to hydro and run that more organically or go coco, we'll see.

So, this is what I do. I am too stupid to give out any advice on what anyone else should do but this works for me.
